This, in turn, creates a lasting impact on the world around us.\nJob Description\nAs an HFC Designer on the Telecommunications team you will be responsible for designing and optimizing Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) networks to deliver high-speed broadband services.\nThis role involves:\nCreating network architectures, ensuring the efficient integration of fiber and coaxial components to meet performance and reliability standards.\nSizing of serving boundaries using GIS address data; analyze, interpret, and organize large datasets\nDetermine feeder routes, distribution routes, and drops to premises by utilizing, parcel, ROW, and easement documentation\nDetermine fiber and coax component allocations\nReviewing field staking sheets, as-Builts and field collected data to determine the optimal running line and construction method.\nAnalyze aerial Imagery and general maps to identify existing utilities or potential obstructions; and produce and review high quality constructible plan sets using GIS based software.\n The HFC Designer will work closely with engineering teams, project managers, and field engineers to support the deployment and enhancement of HFC networks.\nQualifications\nYou are passionate about:\nWorking collaboratively with others.\nHaving ownership in the work you do.\nUsing your talents to positively affect communities.\nYou bring to the team:\nAbility to read, interpret, create maps and plan sets.\nAbility to edit and create PDF documents (Bluebeam or Adobe skills)\nAssociate’s/bachelor’s degree in engineering/design or equivalent work experience preferred\nGeneral knowledge in OSP construction methods and best practices.\nGeneral knowledge of HFC, DOCSIS, and FTTx networks is required.\nKnowledge of LODE Data is preferred\nKnowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Software products is preferred.\nKnowledge of AutoCAD is a plus \nActual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.\nColorado Pay Range\n$28—$35 USD\nAdditional Information\nOlsson specializes in engineering and design, client advisory services, planning, field services, and environmental.
