This role combines hands-on forklift operation with team leadership, workflow coordination, shipping and receiving support, and a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality.\nWhat You'll Do\nWarehouse & Forklift Operations\nCoordinate and oversee daily forklift operations within the warehouse.\nSafely operate assigned forklifts, including equipment rated up to 40,000 lbs., 15,000 lbs., and 6,500 lbs.\nLoad and unload inbound and outbound trucks using proper forklift procedures.\nComplete required pre-trip forklift inspections at the beginning of each shift.\nChange propane tanks as needed; most equipment is electric.\nOperate machinery and tools safely and in accordance with company procedures.\nTeam Coordination & Productivity\nMonitor team performance, productivity, and quality of work.\nPromote teamwork and a positive work environment.\nHelp streamline workflow and reduce downtime.\nImplement best practices for forklift operation and material handling.\nParticipate in training temporary staff.\nSafety & Compliance\nMaintain safe working conditions and follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.\nWear required PPE, including steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, and other assigned safety equipment.\nKeep warehouse floors clean, organized, and safe.\nImmediately report incidents, accidents, damages, claims, mechanical issues, and material concerns to management.\nShipping & Receiving\nFollow company SOPs and procedures reviewed during training.\nComplete required shipping and receiving paperwork, including manifests.\nMaintain consistent communication with the Shipping/Receiving office.\nSupport the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the shipping and receiving process.\nWhat You Bring\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nAbility to operate a forklift with proper and documented training.\nAbility to operate a pneumatic nail gun and tensioner with proper and documented training.\nStrong understanding of safe material-handling practices.\nStrong teamwork, communication, time-management, and accountability skills.\nAbility to work reliably and maintain punctual attendance.\nAbility to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.\nCompensation & Schedule Details\nPay Rate: $26.50 per hour\nThis is a full-time position. Associates must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes; the position is expected to average approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime required as scheduled.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nThis position works in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, shavings, odors, fumes, temperature and noise fluctuations, and varying vibration levels.\nThe role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and use of the hands and fingers for grasping, picking, and pinching.
