No relocation allowance will be considered unless specifically addressed.\n\nSummary / Primary Role:\nThe Logistics Account Specialist I (LAS I) is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned customer accounts and domestic shipments from initial tender through final delivery. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and logistics service providers, proactively managing shipment activity, resolving service issues, and ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the transportation process.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nManage assigned accounts and maintain strong working relationships with clients, carriers, and Logistics Service Providers (LSPs).\nCoordinate and monitor empty and loaded domestic shipments from tender through final delivery.\nProactively identify and resolve pickup, delivery, and in-transit exceptions, including delays, mechanical issues, and lost shipments.\nDevelop service recovery solutions and communicate timely updates and alternative options to customers when service disruptions occur.\nServe as a primary liaison between clients and carriers to resolve delivery delays and other shipment-related concerns.\nInvestigate shipment exceptions and accurately document pickup, delivery, and tracking updates in the appropriate systems.\nServe as a primary point of contact for expedite tracking information for assigned client teams.\nPrioritize multiple requests and tasks while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.\nParticipate in client meetings and business reviews as needed.\nSupport the development of procedures and training documentation and assist with training team members as needed.\nPartner with Logistics Operations leadership to meet Odyssey service standards and applicable client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nCollaborate with IT regarding system enhancements and upgrades when needed.\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, service levels, and operational performance.\nMaintain a safe work environment and follow established safety practices.\nPerform other duties and projects as assigned.\n\nWhat You Bring:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar role required.\nExperience coordinating door-to-door shipments using rail and trucking providers preferred.\nWorking knowledge of transportation terminology, documentation, processes, and principles.\nStrong customer service, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, carriers, and internal teams.\nStrong analytical skills and sound judgment when resolving operational issues.\nProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing operational needs.\nSelf-motivated and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to maintain timely, complete, and accurate records.\nProfessional and courteous communication style when interacting with clients, vendors, visitors, and colleagues.\nWillingness and ability to work occasional weekends or after-hours as business needs require.\nKnowledge of general transportation rules and regulations is a plus.\nAbility to identify and support process and performance improvements.\n\nBenefits:\nWe offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including:\n• A choice of medical plans with FSA and HSA options• Dental Insurance• Vision Insurance• Company-paid Life and Disability Insurance• 401(k) Plan with Company Match• Paid Time Off (PTO) and Company Holidays• Employee Assistance Program• Company Health & Wellness Program• Discounts with Preferred Vendors\n At Odyssey, we believe the best ideas come from people with different skills, experiences, and perspectives.
