No relocation allowance will be considered unless specifically addressed.\n\nSummary / Primary Role:\nThe Quoting Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the Quoting Coordinators and Quoting Administrator, ensuring accurate and timely pricing processes and adherence to established company policies and procedures. This role provides leadership, training, and operational support while also performing hands-on pricing and quotation entry as needed.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nWe're looking for a detail-oriented leader who can guide a small team through accurate, timely pricing while staying hands-on with the work themselves.\nTeam Leadership & Training\nManage the daily activities of Quoting Coordinators and Administrators, providing training, coaching, and ongoing guidance to team members.\nMaintain rating tools in alignment with management direction. \nQuote Review & Pricing Execution\nReview spot quote requests submitted by Coordinators for accuracy and compliance, researching and validating pricing discrepancies and disputes.\nEnter and execute rate quotes accurately and efficiently using a cradle-to-grave approach, providing coverage as needed.\nCommunication & Customer Service\nProcess incoming instructions through all approved communication channels, returning unrated or unclear instructions to the appropriate party for clarification.\nRespond promptly and accurately to internal and external customer email inquiries.\nProcess Improvement & Special Projects\nContribute to the development, documentation, and improvement of pricing procedures and processes, and assist with General Rate Increase (GRI) activities.\nParticipate in internal initiatives, projects, and systems testing.\n\nWhat You Bring:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in logistics, supply chain, or business is a plus\nPrior experience in pricing, quoting, freight rating, or logistics operations; supervisory or team lead experience preferred\nAbility to work independently and lead others effectively, with strong organizational skills for managing workload and documentation \nStrong mathematical skills, including calculations supporting profit-margin targets, weight and measurement conversions, and financial conversions; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and TruckMate\nExcellent verbal and written communication abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills in environments with limited standardization\nKnowledge of the ocean freight industry and the Jones Act is preferred but not required\n\nCompensation & Schedule Details:\nBase Pay Range: $75,000 to $90,000 annually\nBonus Eligible: Yes \nCommission Eligible: No \nAs required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements.
