No relocation allowance will be considered unless specifically addressed.\n\nSummary / Primary Role:\nThe position of Warehouse Associate I will have primary responsibility to safely manage warehouse inventory through the receiving and shipping processes and movement of product with use of forklifts, overhead cranes and other equipment as applicable.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nOpen warehouse and prepare for work day; lights, doors, etc.\nEnsure safe working conditions in office and adherence to OSHA regulations.\nOperate remote-controlled cranes, forklifts and other equipment as applicable, to safely move products.\nOperate track mobile to maneuver rail cars in and out of the building.\nFollow company guidelines and procedures for safe loading and unloading material.\nPull work orders.\nReceive and ship product through inbound/outbound scan process using a handheld scanner.\nInspect material and make notations of any exceptions and or damages for all inbound and outbound shipments.\nOrganize material and inventory within the warehouse. \nPackage steel coils and prepare them for shipment.\nRemove and secure bulkheads against steel coils in railcars.\nRemove debris and clean out railcars prior to loading.\nCommunicate any incidents, accidents, damages, claims to management immediately.\nEnsure equipment is not overloaded.\nUse company guidelines, and instructions to properly signal information and instructions to crane operator(s).\nUse company guidelines, instructions, policies, procedures, and follow OSHA regulations in the performance of all job functions.\nFollow company guidelines and procedures for proper warning signals when operating cranes and forklifts.\nPerform regular and routine inspection of equipment and monitor fluid levels to ensure optimum performance of equipment and safety. \nEnsure inventory and material are stored safely and blocked properly.\nEnsure work environment and areas are clean.\nComplete daily paperwork and record data.\nParticipate in meetings, and on committees as instructed or needed.\nParticipate in cross training, development programs and obtain any certifications as need or requested by management.\nEnsure proper personal protective equipment is in good repair and worn in accordance with OSHA regulations and Company policy. \nALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.\n\nWhat You Bring:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.\nA minimum of one year of experience in a similar role and environment is required.\nPrevious experience working in transportation or metals warehousing industry is preferred.\nExperience with forklifts, overhead cranes, track mobile, and handheld RFID scanners is preferred.\nMicrosoft Office literate with ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute\n\nBenefits:\nWe offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including:\n• A choice of medical plans with FSA and HSA options• Dental Insurance• Vision Insurance• Company-paid Life and Disability Insurance• 401(k) Plan with Company Match• Paid Time Off (PTO) and Company Holidays• Employee Assistance Program• Company Health & Wellness Program• Discounts with Preferred Vendors\n At Odyssey, we believe the best ideas come from people with different skills, experiences, and perspectives.
