We want to build a team of individuals who embrace this culture and have a passion for providing premium products and service to our customers.\nAbout the Role\nOluKai is seeking a creative, fast-moving Junior Editor, Content & Performance to join our in-house creative team.\nReporting to the Content Studio Manager, this role will focus primarily on editing high-performing video content across paid media, organic social, UGC, and digital platforms. The ideal candidate understands how to turn raw footage, campaign assets, and existing long-form content into engaging short-form creative built for today's digital audience.\nA major focus of this role will be supporting OluKai's growing performance creative needs. Developing and versioning performance ads, UGC-style content, product-focused creative, and other paid social assets. This person will also help extend our YouTube content into short-form organic social, identifying compelling moments and turning them into platform-native edits for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other channels.\nThis is a hands-on editing role for someone who has strong creative instincts, moves quickly, stays organized, and wants to develop their craft within a growing in-house content team.\nWhat You’ll Do (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to)\nEdit performance-focused video content for Meta and other paid digital platforms, including product ads, UGC-style creative, campaign cutdowns, and short-form advertising. \nCreate multiple hooks, cutdowns, messaging variations, aspect ratios, and iterations of paid creative to support ongoing performance testing. \nPartner with the Creative Leads from a Content and Strategy side to translate creative direction and performance insights into new video executions. \nTurn OluKai's YouTube content into compelling short-form organic content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms. \nIdentify strong moments, hooks, stories, and soundbites within longer-form content that can live independently as engaging social creative. \nEdit existing campaign and production footage into additional social, paid, product, and digital assets. \nWork with UGC and creator footage to create content that feels native to social platforms while remaining consistent with the OluKai brand. \nApply strong editing fundamentals including pacing, shot selection, music, sound design, basic color correction, typography, captions, and simple motion graphics. \nResize and adapt creative across multiple platforms, placements, and aspect ratios. \nHelp organize and maintain OluKai's growing library of video assets across internal drives, including footage, selects, project files, exports, and archived productions. \nMaintain clean and consistent project structures so footage and creative assets can be easily accessed by the broader Content and Creative teams. \nManage multiple edits simultaneously and deliver against fast-moving social and paid-media timelines. \nStay current on emerging social formats, editing styles, platform trends, performance creative, and creator/UGC best practices. \nCollaborate with the broader Creative, Social, Growth, Brand, and Marketing teams as needed.\nExperience and Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field\n2-4 years of professional video editing experience within an in-house creative team,agency, production company, freelance environment, or similar setting.\n\nStrong proficiency in Davinci Resolve.\nWorking knowledge of After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Figma, and the Adobe Creative Suite.\nStrong understanding of short-form video storytelling, pacing, hooks, composition, music, and sound design.\nExperience editing content for Meta, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms.\nUnderstanding of how paid social creative differs from traditional brand content, including the importance of hooks, messaging, pacing, testing, and iteration.\nExperience working with UGC or creator-style content is strongly preferred.\nAbility to take creative direction and translate feedback into polished work quickly.\nStrong organizational skills, particularly around project files, footage, asset management, and post-production workflows.\nComfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.\nCollaborative, proactive, curious, and eager to continue developing as an editor and creative.\nActively seeks out AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies, adapting quickly to leverage them for improved productivity, deeper insights, and more effective processes, while exercising sound judgment and maintaining compliance with organizational standards\nPassion for the OluKai brand, ocean lifestyle, storytelling, and digital culture.\nNice to Have\nExperience working with performance marketing teams and iterating creative based onresults.\n\nFamiliarity with emerging AI-assisted editing and content creation tools.\nExperience working with YouTube content and repurposing long-form storytelling intoshort-form social.\n\nLocation & Office Structure:This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week.
