We are looking for a Teacher - SEIT Fee-for-Service at Victory Early Childhood at St. John's Parkside, our integrated Early Childhood Program for students 2.5-5 years old. \nTo learn more about our school, click here: OLVHS Early Childhood Education Program\nOur education program strives to provide specialized, high quality educational programming for students with and without disabilities across Western New York. Our programs serve Pre-K through 12th grade students in 6 schools, with a focus on blending academic and social emotional support to meet the diverse needs of all learners.\nJob Summary: Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities, ages 0-5, in a variety of settings. The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities. Job could also include completing Early Intervention and CPSE evaluations, if desired.\n\nEssential Job Duties:\nReviews all available documentation related to the individual prior to beginning treatment; including the IEP/IFSP, script and prior evaluations if available \nDevelops an appropriate treatment plan for each individual \nPerforms treatments according to IFSP/IEP and accepted professional standards and practices \nConducts ongoing assessment of individual during each visit and modifies goals/outcomes/treatment plan accordingly \nPerforms appropriate parent/caregiver education and develops home programs as necessary \nWorks as part of an inter-disciplinary team, utilizing communication with all team members to enhance the treatment program of the individual \nMaintains an accurate schedule \nSubmits all required documentation of visits according to established procedures \nPerforms evaluations as assigned and when necessary; following all established procedures \nCommunicates with families on a regular basis \nKeeps abreast of legal responsibilities, professional ethics, standards of practice and agency rules, policies and regulations. \nProvides for own professional growth by attending continuing education and in-services; tracking this to assure compliance with state licensing requirements and program requirements\nDiscontinues therapy when child no longer meets eligibility requirements \nProvides own transportation to service locations \nMaintains client confidentiality with HIPPA/FERPA and agency guidelines \nMaintains professional appearance, follows agency dress code \nAttends annual fee for service meeting and any other meetings required by your supervisor \nAttends CPSE and IFSP meetings for individuals on caseload as required \nAdheres to and signs Annual Employee Agreement \nDocuments time off and time worked accurately according to agency policies \nPerforms other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by their direct supervisor \nWill be reimbursed for each session that is completed appropriately and in accordance with established billing procedures. \n\nSkills:\nBasic computer skills\n\nCompetencies:\n Strong written and verbal communication skills\nStrong time management skills\nStrong organizational skills\n\nMinimum Education Required: \nBachelor’s in Education or similar field. Must obtain Master’s degree per NYSED guidelines.\n\nMinimum Experience Required: \nNo experience required; however 1-2 years is preferred.\n\nLicense/Registration/ Certifications Required:\nNYS Special Education Teacher Certification within 6 months of start date.\nValid NYS Driver’s License\n\nTraining Requirements: \nNew Hire Orientation\nAll required agency trainings\nAll trainings required by programs you service individuals in\n\nPhysical Requirements: \nThe overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required.
