Previous experience leading an engineering team in a Platform environment is mandatory. We need someone who understands what it means to build platforms for other engineers and the unique challenges that come with balancing developer experience, reliability, scalability, standardisation, and team autonomy.\nYou'll capture requirements, shape ambitious but balanced project scope, lead technical initiatives, and partner across teams to solve technical problems and ensure smooth adoption and implementation of platform solutions. Our Platform environment is a mix of software engineering, APIs, distributed systems, infrastructure, DevOps, scalability, and reliability.\nWe're looking for someone who can operate at both levels: developing people and leading a Platform team, while providing the technical and organisational leadership needed to make the platform successful.\nWhat you will be doing:\nLead by example and manage a team of talented engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and career development support;\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science and data engineering managers, and product managers to define project goals, scope, and deliverables;\nDrive the end-to-end development process, from design to implementation and deployment, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions (with controlled cost);\nIdentify and prioritize technical initiatives, considering ROI, scalability, and performance requirements;\nImplement modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and deployment, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery;\nCollaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the platform meets customer needs and provides an exceptional user experience;\nFoster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field;\nTrack record of proven people management experience (3+ years) focused on developing and growing people;\n5+ years of professional experience in software development.\nProven experience in designing and developing large-scale, high-traffic systems;\nFamiliarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Streaming architectures);\nStrong knowledge of data structures, and software design patterns;\nGood understanding and ideally successful application of AI/ML;\nExperience with modern software development practices, such as agile methodologies, continuous integration, and deployment;\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment;\nProficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.\nOur benefits:\nMonthly salary and an annual bonus (20%)\nTraining and conference budget, and free access to Udemy courses\nA benefits package with 300 points on the Mybenefit platform per month, private medical care provided by Luxmed, Ask Henry services, and much more \nIP rights’ costs -
