Also assist with special projects and unique assignments to ensure deadlines are met.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nConsistently provides proven, formal mentorship\nLeads high complexity assignments\nRegularly leads self and others\nIs viewed as an established SME and/or established as specialist\nUnderstands the “big picture” view and how it aligns to overall company strategy\nResponsible for the preparation and completion of tax returns/processes within required deadlines for all US states and Canadian federal and provincial taxes\nGathers and prepares information required for various components of tax reporting, state and local tax returns for sales/use/property/escheat/miscellaneous taxes\nDrives the preparation and analysis of various tax-related projects, such as process improvements and automation, and ERP system implementation/updates\nAssist with maintenance of Vertex and Diagnostax tax systems\nPerforms research and interprets tax laws and/or tax accounting rules and regulations applicable to new businesses, transactions, or new product offerings\nParticipates in tax audits, as well as financial statement audits of tax-related items\nAssist with tax compliance testing and reporting\nPerform account reconciliations and tax journal entries\nResponsible for registering the company for all applicable sales/use/property/miscellaneous taxes\nEnsure compliance with state tax laws for sales, personal property, and unclaimed taxes\nRegular and reliable attendance required\nAbility to work onsite in an office environment with limited remote work alternatives, consistent with applicable law\nEDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\nBS/BA in Accounting, Finance or similar field is required - MBA/CPA/CMI is a plus\n3+ years accounting experience with multi-state sales and property tax filing\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to interface well with internal departments and outside customers\nDetail-oriented, strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills\nDemonstrated strong project management skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment\nProficient in key tools such as Excel, Word, SAP, Hyperion, Vertex O Series, Vertex Returns and Diagnostax\n\nOmnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
