Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.\nThe Manager, Internal Controls is responsible for overseeing Oxford’s internal controls program over financial reporting (both OMERS and Oxford scopes), risk oversight, transformation initiatives, and business process and IT general controls (ITGC) reviews. The role partners closely with stakeholders across the organization, as well as external advisors, subject matter experts, industry peers, and other key parties, to provide risk and controls expertise, deliver assurance over strategic projects and processes, and foster a strong culture of risk awareness and controls throughout the organization.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for:\nLead the execution and continuous enhancement of Oxford’s internal controls program, ensuring alignment with the broader OMERS controls program.\nServe as a trusted advisor to finance and business teams by providing subject matter expertise in risk management, internal controls, and governance.\nOversee the documentation, maintenance, and periodic updating of controls within the internal controls repository.\nMonitor organizational and process changes, assessing their impact on the control environment and certification framework.\nSupport the onboarding of new process and control owners, including the delivery of training and awareness sessions.\nPartner with finance, the business and external auditors to coordinate annual testing of control effectiveness and facilitate the timely remediation of identified control deficiencies.\nProvide guidance on the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of internal controls across finance, business processes and IT functions.\nDeliver risk oversight and independent assurance on strategic transformation initiatives and key change programs.\nCoordinate and facilitate finance and business process and controls reviews, providing practical recommendations to strengthen the control environment.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external advisors, subject matter experts, industry peers, and other key partners.\nFoster collaboration and information sharing across OMERS and Oxford, including OMERS Internal Audit and other risk management functions.\nChampion a culture of risk awareness, accountability, and strong governance across the organization.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nEducation & Professional Credentials\nUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business\nProfessional designation (CPA, CIA, CISA)\nAudit, Compliance & Internal Controls Expertise\n5+ years of experience in external audit, NI52-109 compliance, or implementing internal control frameworks within real estate, financial services, or related industries\nStrong knowledge of governance and control frameworks, including COBIT and COSO\nStrong understanding and evaluation of IT General Controls (ITGCs)\nExperience across databases, operating systems, and applications\nRisk, Controls & Problem Solving\nDemonstrated experience developing tailored, practical, and flexible solutions\nStrong strategic and critical-thinking capabilities\nChange management experience\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\nCommunication, Influence & Executive Engagement\nStrong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills\nExperience developing and delivering education programs for boards and executive management\nAbility to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and in a structured manner\nLeadership & Stakeholder Management\nProven leadership skills\nAbility to build trusted, collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups\nStrong stakeholder engagement and partnership skills\nProject & Work Management\nAbility to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines\nAbility to work effectively under pressure\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy.The expected salary range for this position is $103,000.00 - $157,000.00 per year.You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans - details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.\nOxford's purpose is to strengthen economies and communities through real estate.\nOur people-first culture is at its best when our workforce reflects the communities where we live and work - and the customers we proudly serve.\nFrom hire to retire, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process that extends all the way through your employee experience.
