We will do this by ensuring that we maintain very high standards of professionalism and quality of service and establishing long term partnerships with likeminded organizations.\nRole purpose\nThe O&M Technician will become part of Omexom Ireland’s Operation & Maintenance Department and will help with the efficient and productive operation & maintenance of a renewable O&M portfolio which is currently expanding. Based in the South/Southwest of Ireland, the O&M Technician will be expected to attend a number of sites across the south of the country for both planned and reactive maintenance.\nResponsibilities & Duties\nResponsibilities & Duties will include but are not limited to:\nReactive On-call duties\n\nCarry out planned maintenance routines.\n\nSite Inspections & Assessments / End of Warranty Inspections, Site Reports.\n\nCo-ordinate O&M activities, resources, materials and equipment when needed.\n\nCoordination & Management of Sub-contractors; Handheld & Drone IR (Thermography), Vegetation Maintenance, Module Cleaning etc.\n\nAssist with managing compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.\n\nRepresent Omexom professionally with various internal and external stakeholders.\n\nSystem & Component Failure Investigations / Root Cause Analysis.\n\nInput into site Improvement & optimization plans.\n\nTravel as required to support business requirements.\n\nKey interfaces\nRelationships with key stakeholders:\nO&M Manager\n\nO&M Engineer\n\nProject Teams & Colleagues\n\nSub-contractors\n\nPerson Specification Qualifications and experience\nThe jobholder shall be a motivated self-starter, possessing:\nGood technical knowledge of commercial solar PV systems and the industry would be an advantage.\n\nA sound working knowledge of electrical infrastructure, Safety Rules, Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (ROI).\n\nA positive attitude to learning from others and an ability to take guidance.\n\nA desire to develop your career and advance within the business.\n\nExceptional customer focus.\n\nA willingness to assimilate to our Values and be trusted.\n\nDesirable skills and competencies:\nFormal Electrical qualifications (QQI Level 6, C&G Inspection & testing etc.)\n\nFamiliarization with Solar Module testing techniques (Electroluminescence, Flash Testing, IVCurve testing, UV & IR Inspections) is an advantage but can be learned.\n\nAbility to organise and prioritize their own time and schedule.\n\nGood working knowledge of computers and relevant computer packages including Microsoft office products.\n\nFull RoI Driving License.\n\nSound working knowledge of broader electrical networks including distribution systems and associated plant and equipment.\n\nA passion for renewable energy and a desire to develop new services in the market utilizing new innovative technology.\n\nUnderstanding of basic civil works would also be an advantage.\n\nCompetencies\nRequired skills, knowledge, and abilities:\nOrganization skills\n\nGood communication skills\n\nCritical thinking\n\nWorking well in a team\n\nSelf-motivation\n\nPositive attitude\n\nDetermination and persistence\n\nBeing a quick learner\n\nGood time management\n\nProblem solving\n\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft office package\n\nExcellent collaboration and people skills\n\nValues\nIn line with Omexom’s values, the jobholder must have the following qualities:\nTeam Spirit & Generosity -
