Take this extraordinary opportunity to showcase your skills, expertise, and dedication and embark on a career-defining journey with Omitron and the US Space Force.\nResponsibilities:\nDesigning, engineering, installing, configuring, and removing switches, routers, firewalls, and telephones in operational and test lab environments.\nApplying knowledge of enterprise system monitoring and management tools (Solar Winds, WireShark, Apstra, Paragon Active Assurance, etc.) to analyze network activity and problems.\nUsing and incorporating broad technical knowledge of the diverse business areas within the enterprise in the assessment of network engineering technologies, computing systems hardware, and software protocols.\nProviding the customer with technical guidance and direction in the design and implementation of network solutions using an advanced understanding of network theory and maintaining specific enterprise network architecture.\nEstablishing overall strategic network standards and priorities to maintain the network baseline, recommending network design changes/enhancements, and analyzing the optimization of network systems' performance.\nProviding high-level technical advice and guidance to managers and technical resources on how network technologies can be utilized to meet current and future organizational needs.\n Minimum Requirements:US Citizenship required\nSecurity Clearance: must possess an active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in a science and technology-related discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, and Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university and\nExperience: 9+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in a science and technology-related discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience. May substitute 9+ years of relevant experience for a degree.\nCertifications: Must possess DoD 8570 baseline certification (IAT Level II)Must possess a current CCNA or JNCIA with 3+ years of experience. \n\nStrong background in Microsoft Office tools and Visio.\nRecord of success in contributing to completing programs and projects; ability to obtain results and make key recommendations.\nExperience with Agile or DevOps project management styles.\nWorking knowledge and experience with dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.\nWAN experience\nExperience interfacing with DISA and other telecommunications providers\nStrong understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) with an emphasis on VMware distributed switching\nStrong understanding of Layer-2 and Layer-3 networks from both a network as well as systems administration view.\nDesired Qualifications:\nExhibit a comprehensive understanding of discipline processes, including information and data management, as well as configuration control.\nDemonstrate exceptional communication skills, showcasing your ability to lead and collaborate with contract representatives and government sponsors.\nProvide high-level summaries of results and draw meaningful conclusions based on data interpretation.\nPossess a CCNP or JNCIP-ENT certification, validating your advanced expertise in network engineering.\nAcquaintance with VxLAN technology will be advantageous in this role.\nPrevious experience with SD-WAN (128T/SSR) and firewalls (specifically Palo Alto) will further strengthen your candidacy.\nFamiliarity with IP fabrics, particularly Apstra, is a plus.\nPossess a working knowledge of HAIPE type 1 encryption devices, ensuring the secure transmission of sensitive information.\nCompany Overview:\nOmitron is an Aerospace Engineering and Information Technology small business firm headquartered in Beltsville, Maryland, with a field office located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
