# Software Engineer

This is not a feature-driven role. This position focuses on production reliability, performance engineering, distributed systems correctness, and platform ownership. You will serve as the technical authority ensuring our capital markets infrastructure remains highly available, low-latency, and fault-tolerant under extreme load. The core responsibilities for the job include the following: Platform Stabilization and Production Ownership: Act as the L3/L4 technical escalation point for critical backend and middleware systems. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and post-incident hardening for complex production outages. Diagnose and eliminate latency spikes, Kafka consumer lag, DB contention, memory pressure, and GC pauses. Transition the engineering culture from firefighting to systemic, long-term stabilization. Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) Ownership: Own, define, and enforce platform benchmarks across throughput, high availability, fault tolerance, and backpressure handling. Identify and eliminate runtime risks, including lock contention, message ordering failures, retry storms, and resource exhaustion.
