Through science, innovation and collaboration, we help customers use resources more efficiently, solve complex operational challenges and create lasting value for a changing world.\nAt Omnia, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, contribute to meaningful challenges, and grow your career in a purpose-led organisation committed to innovation, learning and sustainable impact.\nInnovating to enhance life, together creating a greener future.\nROLE IMPACT\nResponsible for executing the technical services strategy internally and externally through working with cross functional teams to deliver on technical support required to maximise BME's and customers' value\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nConduct sampling and measurement of cartridges\nTo undertake the development and testing of blasting optimisation technology in order to provide the highest quality blasting products and services available.\nTo conduct and manage blasting risk assessments, blast optimisation designs and blast performance results and submit relevant reports.\nTo stay abreast of global technical advances in the field of blasting, and develop and implement policies, procedures and processes to ensure process excellence and continual process improvement.\nTo assist in providing advanced technical support on the following: Fragmentation Analysis VOD measurements Operations, Manager, Blasting , Engineer, Optimization projects, Blast Audits and technical reports, Product and equipment application knowledge transfer\nDifferentiate the company's' service and products by identifying and implementing value adding activities beneficial to all customers.\nEstablish long term relationships with key decision makers and influencers on the mines.\nProvide excellent service on all aspects of explosive and accessory products and their uses, including auditing of product application and performance underground and giving recommendations to correct deficiencies.\nAssist R&D team with quality tests and assurance with regards to products\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nQualifications\nDegree in Mining Engineering\nExperience\n5 years' continuous working experience in blastingtechnical services and consulting in the field of blasting\n\nProven track record in a blasting technologyenvironment\n\nPost graduate degree in mining engineering (Advantageous)\nTrained in the application of blast monitoring equipment (Advantageous)\nTechnical report writing experience (Advantageous)\nProject management (Advantageous)\nKey Competencies\nSenior Management/Management\nCustomers\nSupport Teams\nOperations\nAny other stakeholder as may be deemed important and relevant from time to time.\nDIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION\nA diverse team drives stronger outcomes.
