The role converts technical and OEM knowledge into safe, consistent practical behaviour and strengthens the evidence that employees can apply their learning correctly in the workplace.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nPractical MMU Training\nDeliver practical field training on correct MMU use, safe work sequences, pre-use checks, pumping controls, shutdown, housekeeping, Calibration of Xylophages units and Pump Pro System and abnormal-condition response.\nSupport onboarding and practical readiness of new MMU Operators and Truck Assistants progressing toward Operator roles.\nField Coaching and Observation\nObserve employees during actual site activities and coach unsafe or inefficient practices before they become normalised.\nObserve mine-driving behaviour, record concerns and refer employees for formal retraining or independent assessment where required.\nTraining Material and LMS Improvement\nConvert IVECO, Boilershop, Xplocharge, Baobab and field learning into BME-specific training material, checklists, job aids and LMS-ready content.\nReview and update material to ensure it reflects current vehicles, plant, procedures, controls and site risks \nCompetence Evidence and Reporting\nMaintain site-visit, coaching, observation and corrective-action records.\nProvide monthly reports on employees coached, gaps identified, actions raised, material updates and referrals for formal assessment.\nStakeholder Coordination\nWork with Operations, SHERQ, Maintenance, Boilershop and Technical Training to coordinate access, practical training and follow-up actions.\nEngage OEMs and approved providers to strengthen technical and driver-coaching capability.\nContinuous Improvement and Standardisation\nIdentify recurring field gaps and recommend improvements to learning content, procedures and practical competence controls.\nPromote consistent MMU operating expectations across BME sites and countries.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nQualifications\nGrade 12 or equivalent.\nBlasting Assistant, Competent A or an equivalent site-accepted explosives and mine-access foundation, completed before unsupervised mine deployment.\nRelevant technical, training or engineering-related qualification is advantageous. \n Valid driver licence; Code EC1 or heavy-vehicle licence is advantageous and may form part of the development pathway.\nFacilitation / Train-the-Trainer certification advantageous.\nAssessor training advantageous.\nRequired mine medical fitness, induction and access certifications\nExperience\n5yrs Demonstrated experience in MMU, explosives, mining, mobile equipment, technical training or a closely related operational environment.\nPractical experience coaching adults and explaining technical work in a clear, structured manner.\nExperience using Microsoft 365, digital forms, presentations, spreadsheets and training or LMS systems.\nAbility to work independently, travel extensively and maintain reliable records and reports\nExperience with IVECO Eurotrakker or T-Way platforms, MMU plant, pumps, sensors, Xplocharge or related systems (Advantageous)\nHeavy-vehicle or mine-driving experience (Advantageous)\nCross-site or cross-border training exposure (Advantageous)\nExperience developing practical assessments, observation checklists and LMS content (Advantageous)\nKey Competencies\nPractical technical training and adult-learning facilitation\nField coaching, observation and professional correction of unsafe behaviour\nMMU plant, vehicle systems and operational risk understanding\nTraining material, checklist and job-aid development\nLMS content support and digital literacy\nClear written reporting and evidence management\nPlanning, self-management and independent field work\nStakeholder engagement across Operations, SHERQ, Maintenance and Training\nProblem solving, continuous improvement and attention to detail\nWillingness and ability to travel to BME sites and countries as required\nDIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION\nA diverse team drives stronger outcomes.
