Support product development and technical test work. Support quality control and assurance on products\nWhat You Will Be Responsible For:\nData Collection and Analysis - Collate and analyse data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently.\nNeeds Assessment - Investigate questions relating to existing programs, processes and procedures related to metallurgic processes and applications.\nRecommendations - Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents related to metallurgic processes and applications.\nSolutions Analysis - Interpret data and identify possible answers and solutions. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures and precedents related to metallurgic processes and applications.\nImprovement / Innovation - Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them, optimise chemical consumption cost and efficiencies to add value to customers and strategic suppliers.\nInternal Communications - Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support and advice.\nProject Management - Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities related to chemical consumption and process plants of customers.\nMarket Development - Compile information on the market in terms of alternative strategic suppliers and potential customers for management to make strategic decisions.\nTest Work and benefit quantification - Conduct test work at various locations to evaluate the potential benefit new solutions or products.\nRelationship development - Develop relationships with customers and suppliers.\nIdentify opportunities to add value to customers and strategic suppliers through Metallurgic solutions and innovation.\nSupport internal quality control on reagents received from manufacturers and supplier to customers.\nProvide Metallurgic support to projects outside Namibia on an ad hoc basis as and when required.\nWriting of high-quality reports on test-work done, outcome and recommendations.\nWhat You Will Bring:\nQualifications:\nMetallurgy / Chemical Engineering Diploma / Degree\n\nExperience:\n5 years mineral industries (Pref in Uranium)\nDetailed understanding of extractive metallurgy process, including flotation and hydrometallurgy.\n\nKey Competencies:\nIndependent and self-motivated with the ability to work in teams\nHard worker and dedicated\nGood communication skills\nTrustworthy\nProblem solving abilities\nWilling to travel \nWhy Join Omnia\nJoin an organisation where innovation, sustainability and purpose come together.
