Whether enabling food security by improving agricultural yields, driving economic growth with safer and more efficient mining solutions, or supporting industrial progress with environmentally responsible chemicals, our work impacts industries, transforms communities, and builds a healthier planet.\nTogether, we are creating solutions that enhance life, empower progress, and shape a greener future for generations to come.\nWhy This Role Matters (Purpose):\nThe purpose of this role is to load blast holes with explosive products using a mixer-placer truck in accordance with BME standards, and to be responsible for truck inspection and maintenance.\nWhat You Will Be Responsible For:\nEnsures that all SHERQ requirements are met. \nReceives the charging instruction from the Blaster. \nCarries out an inspection of all the holes and measures and records them to ensure that they are drilled to the correct depth. \nReports any out of spec holes to blaster. \nPerforms calculations to determine the correct mass of product to be loaded in each hole and reports any discrepancies to with the Foreman \nInspects all the pumps and settings prior to commencing with the pumping process \nTakes a sample of the product and then analyses it to assess the product density prior to commencing the charging process \nReports any out of spec analyses to the Foreman and will only start the pumping when completely satisfied with the product quality \nReports any out of spec settings or equipment to the Foreman and will only start the pumping when completely satisfied with the mechanics of the process \nEngages the pumping process and loading the holes according to the design specs while ensuring all prescribed SHERQ requirements are met \nTakes a sample of the product as per BME standards, and/or customer requirements, to ensure that the product quality remains within spec and records it on the sheet provided \nPerforms general administrative duties such as correct completion of loading sheets, pre-use checklists, as per BME standards\nComplete grease schedules, calibrations and truck performance. \nSupervises the work of the Truck Assistant \nMake ensure holes being charged are correct before charging - this will be applicable based on contract that signed between BME client\nWhat You Will Bring:\nQualifications:\nGrade 12 (Mathematics) \nEC License - Code 14 (EC) \nDangerous Goods and Passengers permit (DGP \nExperience:\n3 years Truck Driving experience (preferably in mining environment) \n5 years' experience in driving heavy duty vehicles (EC) \nKey Competencies:\nNumerical skills \nAttention to detail \nStrong communication/interpersonal skills \nReport-writing abilities \nWhy Join Omnia\nJoin an organisation where innovation, sustainability and purpose come together.
