The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of materials, performing basic troubleshooting, maintaining housekeeping and safety standards, supporting production reporting requirements, and assisting with the optimisation and smooth operation of the assembly line while complying with all company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperate machines within area according to work instruction procedures.\nIntervene or stop process immediately in the event of a process upset or malfunction causing a deviation in product quality or process safety.\nOperate system in such a way that minimum yield targets are achieved.\nPerform basic troubleshooting on the assembly line when operational difficulties arise to be able to effectively identify issues to inform automation technicians of adjustments or repairs that need to be made.\nPerform routine cleaning operations on the automated assembly line and ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times.\nEnsure availability and uninterrupted supply of raw materials and components as and when required.\nUnderstand the safety requirements of working with hazardous materials and materials that may be susceptible to electrostatic discharge.\nEnsure production meets scheduled production plans.\nEnsure product and assembly preservation by enforcing correct handling procedures.\nEnsure compliance with relevant safety and occupational legislation and regulations in the execution of work.\nProvide information as required by position, which includes, but are not limited to compiling production and quality reports.\nInteract with computerised system to effectively control processes via the HMI.\nAssist and direct the work and activities of assembly assistants as and when required.\nBe able to perform raw material acceptance checks to ensure conformance to quality acceptance criteria.\nBe able to identify causes of process upsets and identify raw material exceptions.\nAssist automation technician with repairs and adjustments as guided and instructed.\nTrain new recruits through job shadowing, on-the-job learning and other methods as needed.\nMaintain a safe working environment and adhere to strict housekeeping duties.\nOperating within the company safety guidelines.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nQualifications\nGrade 12 or equivalent.\nExperience\nNo prior experience necessary - full training will be provided\nBasic understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.\nComputer literacy and the ability to operate HMI/computerised production systems.\nAbility to perform basic troubleshooting and routine equipment checks.\n1 year demonstrated experience in production environment (Advantageous)\nKey Competencies\nAbility to work safely in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.\nGood attention to detail and quality focus.\nBasic computer literacy and ability to use HMI and production systems.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nGood communication and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and concentration.\nAbility to prioritise work and meet daily production targets.\nDIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION\nA diverse team drives stronger outcomes.
