Whether enabling food security by improving agricultural yields, driving economic growth with safer and more efficient mining solutions, or supporting industrial progress with environmentally responsible chemicals, our work impacts industries, transforms communities, and builds a healthier planet.\nTogether, we are creating solutions that enhance life, empower progress, and shape a greener future for generations to come.\nWhy This Role Matters (Purpose):\nTo perform logistics, stockholding, planning and other duties to meet the criteria as set by the Company concerning the day-to-day operations of the business in terms of Logistics and Supply Chain as well as procurement planning and stock forecasting.\nWhat You Will Be Responsible For\n Liaising with WFS or other appointed clearing agent regarding documentation.\nLiaising with Customs to release containers and check for destuffing\nLiaising with Transporter for Containers to be brought to Protea and Empties returned.\nLiaising with Customs for permission to load trucks\nLiaising with Customs on Completion of loading to verify and seal export trucks\nFacilitating daily toolbox talks\nConduct site inductions as per company procedures.\nOverseeing all daily operational activities according to instructions from line managers and company procedures.\nSupervising warehouse operators, general workers and contractors in terms of daily activities.\nSupervising warehouse operators, general workers and contractors in terms of adhering to safe operating procedures and work instructions.\nWeighbridge Operator\nGRN incoming consignments\nAdministration and paperwork relating to receiving and dispatching of stock and managing of stock control and bonded warehouse control.\nUpdating of Receiving and Dispatch Ledger with Computer Records\nEnsuring compliance in terms of quality control and good traceability.\nUpdating of PPE associated forms\nEnsure that pre-use checks of machinery, mobile lifting equipment and transporter vehicles are conducted prior to activity.\nEnsure competency of employees and contractors by performing monthly Planned Task Observations.\nAssist Senior Supervisor with the management of shift planning, leave planning and overtime management of Operators and General Workers.\nPerforming periodical stock taking as per stock control requirements.\nTaking retention samples.\nAdhering to and performing SHEQ related duties.\nOther ad-hoc duties if tasked by Line Manager\nAd-hoc forklift driving if licenced\nAdherence to and execution of current and new procedures / work instructions as it may be amended or implemented from time to time.\nPartaking in the review of company risk assessment, SOP's, work instructions and forms, and incident investigations.\nBasic awareness training to workers and contractors.\nGeneral cleaning and maintenance (Cleaning buildings, warehouses, plant equipment, offices, notices, signboards, washing vehicles, painting etc)\nEmergency response duties for chemicals spills (whether on-site or en route transport). \nWhat You Will Bring:\nQualifications:\nGrade 12 or equivalent\nExperience:\n3 years of experience as a supervisor or similar\nDemonstrated experience Logistics, Chemical or Mining Industries will be an advantage\nKey Competencies:\nAble to arrange and organize all support functions, supply raw materials & PPE to team members\nTraining of employees.\nCommunicate production plan\nResponsible for housekeeping and waste management\nTimeous reporting and correction of equipment and quality failure\nSafety of employees\nStock Planning \nWhy Join Omnia\nJoin an organisation where innovation, sustainability and purpose come together.
