Through science, innovation and collaboration, we help customers use resources more efficiently, solve complex operational challenges and create lasting value for a changing world.\nAt Omnia, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, contribute to meaningful challenges, and grow your career in a purpose-led organisation committed to innovation, learning and sustainable impact.\nInnovating to enhance life, together creating a greener future.\nRole Impact\nTo perform operational duties to meet the criteria as set by the Company concerning the day-to-day operations of the Business in terms daily operational activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nSecurity duties (truck access and completion of relevant forms) & other security associated tasks\nDestuffing containers and other tasks associated with container destuffing\nRecording weight of the chemicals on the destuffing of chemicals out of containers\nPre-vehicle inspections \nLoading product for dispatch and other tasks associated with loading product for dispatch\nBulk bag hooking when loading chemicals\nReceiving and off-loading break bulk consignments and associated tasks\nGeneral cleaning and maintenance (Cleaning buildings, warehouses, plant equipment, offices, notices, signboards, washing vehicles, painting etc)\nWeighbridge operation if tasked accordingly by Line Manager, and with adequate training\nEnsure good traceability and quality control\nTaking retention samples\nTanker loading and associated tasks including, but not limited to pre-use and post-use equipment inspections of Jan Hopper loader, Dino loader, Bag in a box, etc\nOperating finger crusher and perform tasks associated to the finger crusher\nDebagging product\nWaste disposal duties\nBasic supervised laboratory quality test duties\nAd-hoc forklift driving if licenced\nBasic SHEQ duties\nEmergency response duties for chemicals spills (whether on-site or en route transport).\nOther ad-hoc duties if tasked by Line Manager\nAdherence to and execution of current and new procedures / work instructions as it may be amended or implemented from time to time\nMinimum Requirements\nQualifications\nGrade 12 or equivalent \nExperience\n2 years demonstrated experience as a Warehouse Operator\nExposure to the Logistics, Chemical or Mining Industries will be an advantage (Advantageous) \nKey Competencies\nProven written and verbal communication skills\nKnowledge of production processes\nAbility to meet daily target\nAttention to detail\nNumeric skills\nSafety / quality conscience\nSystematic \nDiversity, Equity & Inclusion\nAdverse team drives stronger outcomes.
