The Card Press Operator will provide hands-on operation and leadership for their Card Press Production Line by troubleshooting problems and working on continuous improvement projects.\nThis role will be 2nd shift.\nResponsibilities:\nControl machines and processes using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.\n\nSet-up, operate, clean up, and verify quality of each product produced on designated press production line.\n\nLead and orchestrate changeovers on their designated line.\n\nInspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.\n\nGather information by observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.\n\nPrint multiple color products.\n\nOperate continuous web converting equipment.\n\nProvide daily data report.\n\nMeet established quality and schedule standards.\n\nKeep walkways and the manufacturing environment clean and organized.\n\nFollow all safety guidelines, including reporting unsafe or unexpected conditions.\n\nSupport Corporate Programs such as 5S, ISO, SMED, Preventive Maintenance, Sustainability, and GMP.\n\nOther tasks as assigned\n\nRequired Knowledge and Skills:\nFamiliarity with unwind and rewind turrets.\n\nAbility to read, understand, and follow schedule, written instructions, and job ticket requirements.\n\nAbility to operate complex machinery with multiple material inputs and process stations.\n\nKnowledge in the selection of necessary components to run specific jobs (print cylinders, plates, dies).\n\nAbility to work both independently and with limited supervision.\n\nJob requires being pleasant with others on the job and display8ing a good-natured, cooperative attitude.\n\nJob requires being careful about detail and being thorough in completing work tasks.\n\nHave ability to see details at close range to check for defects or other quality issues.\n\nHave ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.\n\nHave ability to time your movements or the movement of a piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object.\n\nHave ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine.\n\nQuickly respond (with hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sounds, light, picture) when it appears.\n\nUse hands and arms to handle, position, and move materials.\n\nPerform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma / GED\n\n2 (two) + years of work experience on complex machinery with multiple material inputs and process stations.
