Power BI Developer (Mid-Level)

About the role
We’re looking for a Power BI Developer to build reliable, easy-to-use reporting that helps teams make better decisions. You’ll work with stakeholders to understand their questions, turn data into clear dashboards, and improve the quality and performance of our reporting.
You’ll have ownership of your work from requirements through to release, with support from data engineering and senior team members on more complex challenges.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Develop semantic models, measures, and calculations using DAX.
- Prepare and transform data using Power Query and SQL.
- Work with stakeholders to define metrics, reporting requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Check data accuracy and investigate discrepancies between reports and source systems.
- Improve report performance, usability, and accessibility.
- Manage publishing, refresh schedules, access permissions, and documentation.
- Collaborate with data engineers to shape datasets for reporting and reuse.
What you’ll bring
- Around 2-5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a similar role, including hands-on Power BI development.
- Strong working knowledge of DAX, Power Query, data modelling, and SQL.
- Experience building reports that people use to answer real business questions.
- Understanding of data quality, testing, and report performance.
- Confidence discussing requirements with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- A practical approach to documentation, maintainability, and sharing your work.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI deployment pipelines, or version control.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms or lakehouse environments.
- Experience working with row-level security and governed semantic models.
What success looks like
You deliver accurate, useful reporting that stakeholders trust. You can take a reporting request from an initial conversation to a published solution, explain the choices you made, and identify where the underlying data or process needs improvement.
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
