About Flywheel
Flywheel’s suite of digital commerce solutions accelerates growth across all major digital marketplaces for the world’s leading brands. We give clients access to near real-time performance measurement and improve sales, share, and profit. With teams across the Americas, Europe, and APAC, we offer a career with real impact, endless growth opportunities, and the support you need to be the best you can be.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Manager to join our Commerce team with a focus on retail media search. This person will own day-to-day search performance for a portfolio of clients, lead and develop a small team of specialists, and help grow client partnerships through strong results and proactive recommendations. The role requires hands-on experience running sponsored search across major retail media networks, especially Amazon Ads, plus emerging people leadership skills and confidence working directly with clients.
Reporting to a Director, this role works closely with retail operations, content and other media teams to deliver integrated commerce results. We need someone self-motivated, collaborative and results-oriented who enjoys being close to the work while helping others grow.
What You Will Do
- Own retail search strategy and execution for your client portfolio, including campaign architecture, keyword and ASIN/item targeting, bidding and budget pacing, and ongoing optimization.
- Connect search performance to retail fundamentals such as content, ratings and reviews, pricing, promotions and availability. Flag digital shelf issues that limit media results.
- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients. Lead regular performance reviews, explain results clearly, and bring proactive recommendations.
- Deliver against client KPIs (ROAS, TACoS, incremental sales, new-to-brand, share of search). Spot performance issues early and resolve them.
- Identify growth opportunities within your accounts, such as new retailers, ad formats or budget expansion, and bring them to your Director with a clear business case.
- Manage, coach and develop a small team of specialists. Set priorities, review work, and support their technical and professional growth.
- Run tests and contribute to the team's best practices, playbooks and automation.
- Stay current on retail media platform changes and share learnings with your team.
- Support new business and client presentations as needed.
- Travel occasionally based on client needs
Who You Are
- 4+ years of eCommerce or digital marketing experience, with at least 2 to 3 years hands-on in retail media search at an agency, brand or retailer.
- Strong working knowledge of Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display). Experience on other networks such as Walmart Connect, Instacart, Target Roundel or Criteo is an asset.
- A solid understanding of retail and marketplace fundamentals and how they affect search performance.
- Comfortable with retail media reporting and analytics. Experience with bid management tools or AMC is an asset.
- Experience managing or mentoring others, whether through direct reports or formal team lead responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to turn data into clear recommendations.
- Confident communicator who can present to clients and handle tough conversations.
- Organized and able to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities.
- Results-driven with a strong client focus.
- Proactive, curious and quick to adapt as platforms change.
