This position provides exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities, including general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll accounting, intercompany transactions, cash management, and audit support. The successful candidate will act as trusted finance partner with cross-functional teams to help ensure accurate financial reporting while contributing to process improvements and maintaining a strong control environment.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPrepare recurring and general month-end journal entries with proper support; ensure accuracy and timely submission within tight close timelines.\nReconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly, maintain audit-ready documentation, and promptly resolve reconciling items.\nSupport with the full month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close process ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness.\nAnalyse general ledger activity to identify unusual transactions, trends, and variances.\nPrepare accruals, prepaid expense, accrued & deferred revenue, lease accounting and fixed asset entries and related reconciliations.\nSupport with payroll accounting & reporting and related reconciliations, including reconciliation of payroll schedules and related balance sheet accounts.\nSupport intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations, settlements, and billing requests.\nSupport VAT returns activities, including reconciliations ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.\nAssist with cash postings, bank reconciliations, and cash account analysis.\nSupport preparation and review of management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary for local and Group leadership.\nPrepare supporting schedules for financial reporting and management requests.\nSupport external statutory financial statement audits (FRS), internal audits, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests.\nSupport annual/quarterly compliance filings with relevant regulatory bodies.\nEnsure all accounting records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company policies and local GAAP and Group reporting requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement efficiencies.\nSupport special projects, system implementations, and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.\nWho You Are:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.\n5+ years of accounting experience.\nStrong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS; familiarity with Irish statutory requirements advantageous).\nExperience with general ledger accounting and month-end close.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, LOOKUPs, SUMIFS, etc.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of team, positively contributing to a team culture of accountability and continuous improvement.\nProfessional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) .\nExperience with SAP, ideally SAP S/4HANA, preferred.\nExperience operating within a multinational or Group reporting structure strongly preferred.\n\nOmnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
