Job Description:

West VP, CX Advisory Job Description

We Are

At Weber Shandwick, we're more than a leading global communications agency-we're an engagement agency. We help organizations earn trust, navigate complexity and drive business outcomes through strategic communications, corporate affairs and reputation management.

Weber Advisory is the firm's strategic consulting practice, partnering with CEOs and senior leadership teams to solve complex business challenges at the intersection of reputation, policy, culture and stakeholder expectations. From navigating high-stakes issues and shaping executive positioning to advising on corporate transformation and public affairs, we help organizations lead with confidence in moments that matter most.

As Weber Advisory continues to expand across the West Coast, we're looking for an entrepreneurial Vice President to help grow our presence while leading integrated client engagements across corporate reputation, issues management, public affairs and executive communications.

The Opportunity

The Vice President will serve as a senior strategic counselor to clients navigating complex reputational, regulatory and business environments. This leader will oversee integrated teams, drive day-to-day client leadership, identify growth opportunities and help shape the next chapter of Weber Advisory in the West.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong corporate communications expertise with meaningful experience in issues management and public affairs, and who enjoys working across industries including consumer, technology, healthcare, energy, infrastructure and purpose-driven organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives and communications leaders on corporate reputation, issues management, crisis preparedness, executive visibility and stakeholder engagement.

  • Lead integrated client teams across corporate communications, public affairs, executive positioning, media relations and internal communications.

  • Counsel clients through high-profile business moments including litigation, policy developments, regulatory scrutiny, organizational change, workforce issues, M&A, ESG and reputational challenges.

  • Develop integrated communications strategies that align corporate reputation objectives with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.

  • Partner closely with Weber's Public Affairs, Crisis, Digital, Creative, Research and Brand teams to deliver seamless, multidisciplinary solutions.

  • Identify emerging reputational, political and regulatory risks, translating insights into proactive client counsel.

  • Lead major business development opportunities, helping shape integrated proposals, strategic recommendations and pitch presentations.

  • Build and grow client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand Weber Advisory's role across the West region.

  • Contribute to Weber Advisory's thought leadership through POVs, speaking opportunities, market insights and industry visibility.

  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams while fostering collaboration, inclusion and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 8-12+ years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, issues management, government affairs or strategic communications, with agency experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience counseling senior executives during complex reputation, policy, regulatory or business challenges.

  • Strong understanding of the intersection between communications, public policy, stakeholder engagement and business strategy.

  • Experience developing issues management frameworks, crisis preparedness plans and executive communications strategies.

  • Familiarity with legislative, regulatory and political environments and their impact on corporate reputation.

  • Proven ability to lead integrated teams across multiple disciplines and deliver strategic, client-ready work under pressure.

  • Strong business development experience, including identifying opportunities, leading pitches and expanding client relationships.

  • Exceptional writing, presentation and strategic storytelling skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building new capabilities, developing talent and contributing to the growth of Weber Advisory in the West.

  • Experience working across industries such as consumer, healthcare, technology, energy, infrastructure or highly regulated sectors is preferred.

What You'll Bring

  • Executive presence and sound judgment in high-stakes situations.

  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for coaching and developing talent.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong understanding of the evolving stakeholder landscape.

  • The ability to connect corporate reputation, public affairs and business strategy into actionable communications programs.

  • A growth mindset and excitement about helping build Weber Advisory's presence and market leadership across the West.
