Omni Viking Lakes reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. \nAdditional associate benefits offered include discounts at the spa and restaurants, discounted rates at other Omni properties, corporate discounts, continued education opportunities and more. \nEssential Job Functions: \nInspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance. \nPerform inspections and routine maintenance on building systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning plumbing and electrical, hydraulic, etc.), including replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits. \nUse specialized measuring and diagnostic devices to evaluate how electrical equipment is working, building, or calibrating instrumentation. \nContribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance. \nMonitor inventory of materials and equipment. \nParticipate in coordination of projects (e.g., renovations). \nMonitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary. \nMonitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance. \nManage relationships with contractors and service providers. \nKeep maintenance logs and report on daily activities. \nExecute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems. Set up electrical exhibits. \nInstall electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems, safety, and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.). \nConnect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components. \nPrepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them. \nPerform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units. \nMaintain all electrical equipment throughout the property. \nProvide technical assistance to other engineers as necessary. \nReceive direction from engineering management on daily assignments or projects and complete within the time and manner specified or in accordance with hotel needs. \nReceive direction for house calls via radio and respond promptly and appropriately. \nUnderstand and be able to receive and update work requests from the work request system (Synergy). \nComplete appropriate documents and logs for work assigned daily or as a project. \nHave a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies. \nHave a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations. \nHave a thorough understanding of the importance of Lock out Tag out, the dangers of arc flashes and other precautions that need to be taken around equipment. \nMaintain all equipment according to equipment preventive maintenance program. \nMake all repairs according to manufacture specifications. \nUnderstand how to detect trends that indicate developing issues. \nClean all work areas after completing a job. \nUphold all Omni Associate policies regarding standards of appearance and having a neat, professional appearance. \nQualifications: \nDiploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician. Valid license to practice profession. \nMinimum five years’ experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems. HVAC professional certification is preferred. \nStrong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating). \nA willingness to always abide by health & safety practices and regulations. \nAbility to assist all guests with a friendly and outgoing demeanor. \nAbility to prioritize and self-manage assigned work. \nDemonstrate understanding of budgeting and performance management. \nExcellent communication skills.
