exceptional guest experience from the resort’s pre-opening phase onward.\nEssential Functions\nEnsure the proper functioning and programming of the Building Management System (BMS).\nCoordinate operational coverage and maintenance priorities across shifts (AM, PM, and Overnight).\nConduct daily reviews of critical pending items (guest rooms, events, outlets, and utilities).\nPrioritize corrective and preventive work orders and ensure their quality closure.\nCoordinate technical support for events in banquet/event venues and for outlet requirements.\nSupervise routine equipment rounds and inspections of machine rooms.\nCoordinate and validate contractor work, ensuring compliance with safety protocols (PPE/LOTO, as applicable).\nManage escalation and response to critical failures (electrical, water, HVAC, pumping, etc.).\nEnsure daily communication with Rooms/Housekeeping, Banquets, and Food & Beverage.\nReport operational status, risks, and needs to the Director of Engineering.\nAssign shift priorities and resources for incident and work order response.\nAuthorize the start-up/shutdown of non-critical equipment in accordance with established procedures.\nRequest parts and external services within the established process.\nStop work in the presence of unsafe conditions or non-compliance with quality/safety standards.\nMaintain effective working relationships with internal partners, including the Director of Engineering, Supervisors, Rooms/Housekeeping, Banquets, Food & Beverage, Security, and Purchasing/Storeroom.\nCoordinate with external partners, including contractors, technical service providers, and warranty/installation visits.\nConduct frequent walkthroughs of the property, machine rooms, and back-of-house areas.\nMonitor and report key productivity indicators, including closed vs. open work orders and response time, rounds/log and checklist compliance, critical equipment availability (downtime), recurring failures in guest rooms/outlets, and completion of scheduled preventive maintenance (PM).\n\n Minimum Requirements\nDegree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.\n3–5 years of experience in hotel maintenance/engineering or similar facilities, including experience leading shifts.\nTechnical knowledge of MEP systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing), work order/CMMS management, and basic industrial safety.\nSpanish and English (operational level) language proficiency.\nLOTO, working at heights, and/or electrical safety certifications/licenses preferred.\nStrong leadership and staff supervision skills.\nPlanning and prioritization skills.\nEffective communication and internal customer service skills.\nTeamwork and cross-departmental coordination skills.\nStrong focus on safety and risk prevention.\nStrong follow-up, organizational, and documentation skills.\nAvailability to respond to operational emergencies during the shift.\nAbility to work amid noise, heat, humidity, and technical spaces as part of frequent property
