This role will engage directly with system architects, power engineers, and design teams to position, specify, and support high-efficiency power conversion solutions including board-mount power, front-end power, and AI-optimized power architectures.The FAE acts as the technical extension of the sales organization and as the customer advocate within engineering and product management.\nJob Overview\nThe FAE will be responsible for working in a fast paced, high-growth environment where resources are optimized around producing measurable results. He/she must have the breadth of experience and interest to work as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment. This is a high-visibility position with career development potential. This position reports to the Data Center Sales Leader and is located in the Bay Area.\nAs the FAE, you will:\nUtilize knowledge of the OEM power supply marketplace, including typical customer requirements, competitor offerings, and application trends in the networking, Data Centers, servers / storage, and OCP to provide technical expertise to the Hyperscalers.\nSupport the assigned customers in a technical sales capacity and provide assistance to the customer in identifying new opportunities\nCoordinate activities with the GAMs and provide technical guidance to establish sales strategies at the assigned accounts\nAct as a customer advocate with the ability to communicate Voice of Customer needs, product gaps, and concerns to the executive management level\nPresent technology roadmap seminars to customers and communicate the customers feedback to product management\nMaintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base\nCreate new product technical requirements, work closely with R&D to guide product development, prepare data sheets and other product technical documentation, help develop product presentations and provide technical product support to customers \nUnderstand customer applications to determine new product features and performance needs\nAnalyze competitor products and be aware of the competitive landscape\nHelp develop the product and technology roadmaps\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college\nMinimum of 4 years of experience in solving technical issues and providing high-level customer support and value through technical expertise in the power industry\nPosition requires the ability to travel an average of 50% of the time during a typical workweek. \nCandidate must be located within the Bay Area.\n Desired Characteristics\nMinimum of 8 years of experience within the Power Electronics industry\nAdvanced engineering or technical degree\nHigh proficiency in using applicable software (i.e., Microsoft Outlook and Office, Sales empowerment tools)\nExperience in CRM / SFDC\nExperience in an electronic manufacturing organization\nBackground in power supply manufacturing\nExperience in power supply design, OCP, HVDC\nBasic knowledge of the staged gate engineering development process\nSound power electronics knowledge, including: AC / DC and DC / DC topologies, standard approaches used in analog and power supply circuit design, understanding of how AC / DC and DC / DC products are used in OEM systems, understanding of digital interface protocols (i.e., I2C, PMBus) and how they are used in power supplies\nUnderstanding of agency requirements that apply to power conversion products, such as safety agency standards, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) standards, input Surge requirements, and harmonics standards\nLab skills, including familiarity with using basic lab instruments such multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and spectrum analyzers\nAbility to understand and implement customer and industry standards\nDemonstrated strong oral and written communication skills with both customers and senior management\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills\nEffective customer presentation skills\nExcellent organizational skills required to meet multi-tasking expectations\nIn-depth knowledge of OEM product lines and markets (Data Center)\nAbility to effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters\nWillingness to work independently and be a self-starter\nExcellent problem solving and critical thinking skills\nELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS: OmniOn will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
