This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in mechanical design for power electronics, power supplies, and datacenter power systems. The successful candidate will lead product development efforts from concept through commercialization, driving innovative, high-performance solutions that meet customer, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.\nThis role reports directly to the R&D Manager of Systems and is located at the OmniOn Power HQ in Plano, TX.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:\nLead the mechanical design and development of advanced power system products from concept through production launch.\nApply knowledge of emerging AI infrastructure power requirements, including OCP and HVDC power architectures.\nConduct thermal analysis, simulation, testing, and validation to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.\nDevelop and maintain detailed design documentation, engineering specifications, and product drawings.\nPerform laboratory testing and product characterization in collaboration with technical support personnel.\nEnsure designs meet performance, quality, manufacturability, cost, and time-to-market objectives.\nCreate and maintain detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and electronic design data.\nDevelop and manage CAD models using Creo in a linked-design environment and validate associated engineering documentation.\nGenerate engineering models to support analysis, tooling, fixtures, manufacturing processes, and inspection activities.\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Systems Engineering, and Global Engineering, to develop innovative DC/DC power conversion solutions.\nDrive the integration of new technologies and design methodologies into next-generation products.\nSupport design reviews, prototype builds, qualification testing, and product releases.\nRequired/Basic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience in the design and development of power systems, power supplies, or power electronics products.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience leading products through the full development lifecycle, from concept to production.\nStrong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and product validation.\nExpertise in power electronics packaging and enclosure design.\nExperience with sheet metal, plastics, cable assemblies, and PCB-based mechanical design.\nStrong knowledge of thermal management, thermal testing, and simulation techniques.\nUnderstanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.\nProficiency with Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) CAD software.\nExperience using engineering analysis tools such as Ansys.\nKnowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and product qualification testing.\nFamiliarity with datacenter power infrastructure, OCP standards, or HVDC systems.\nExcellent problem-solving, project leadership, verbal communication, and technical writing skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering
