You’ll also work closely with dispatch and field teams to coordinate schedules and support overall operations.\nYour attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety will be essential in delivering exceptional service and keeping projects on track.\nJoin a company that truly values its employees, prioritizes safety, and invests in your growth and success!\nResponsibilities\nHook and unhook trailers from tractor.\nInspect trailers/truck's for defects and make sure they are in safe operating condition before, during, and after trips. The driver must perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections. Noting all defects on a DVIR so repairs can be completed.\nCheck shipping paperwork to determine if all information is correct.\nDrive the truck to and from its destination in accordance with complying and company policies.\nApply knowledge of commercial driving skills by maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations i.e.: inclement weather, and/or tight loading and unloading areas.\nEnsure that all shipping documentation required to move the product is available for inspection and that the appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment when delivered.\nMaintain records required by the company.\nMaintain on a daily basis the proper handling and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork related to truck operation and scrap movement.\nPerform all duties in accordance with the company policies and procedures.\nReport all accidents involving driver or company equipment.\nReport hazards noted in route.\nPromptly report delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions, or other emergencies relating to pick up or delivery of product.\nProfessional representation of the Company and the trucking industry through responsible driving and customer service is a must.\nAbility to read, write, and interpret the English language sufficient to communicate with law enforcement, and company personnel. You must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. You must have working knowledge of vehicle safety control systems.\nBe safety-minded at all times\nQualifications\nMust be able to pass a Drug Screen.\nYou must have knowledge of safe driving, perform pre trip and post trip inspections.
