If you're ready to make an impact and help shape the future of work, we’d love to hear from you!\nWhat is the opportunity?:\nAs an Accounting Manager, focusing on Accruals & Expense Analysis, you'll be a key player in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. You'll blend your expertise in technical accounting with a sharp eye for process optimization, directly impacting our financial reporting and compliance. This role involves collaborating with other Finance teams and continuously working on process improvements to the accounting close.\nPartner with FP&A to understand quarterly business activities and obtain understanding of expense activity, including open POs\n\nPrepare manual journal entries for all PO accruals at period end and quarter end. This will involve reviewing all open POs, understanding GL activity on those POs to date, identifying potential accrual amounts and reviewing those amounts with the FP&A team.\n\nAll manual processes will need to be documented in detail.\n\nBe the SME for expense accounts in key areas, including, but not limited to, Cost of Sales, Contractors, and Marketing. This will involve understanding and documenting the types of activities through those accounts, detailed analysis by account by PO, documenting and correcting any reclasses/errors, and ensuring full tie back to support files each period.\n\nReview the prepayments journal for completeness and accuracy. Ensure all activity is reviewed for potential accruals at period end.\n\nSupport the preparation and review of related balance sheet reconciliations.\n\nPrepare expense analysis files, performance in-depth analysis and present to Corporate Controller.\n\nChampion process improvements within the general ledger function particularly in relation to PO accruals. This would potentially include reviewing and updating existing manual processes, and leveraging new technologies and automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.\n\nExecute timely and accurate month-end close activities.\n\nSupport external audit requests (both at consolidated level and Statutory accounts level) related to expense accounts and associated balance sheet accounts.\n\nWork with FP&A to support the review of Purchase Orders to ensure correct GL mapping.\n\nSupporting of other accounting projects and processes that impact expenses, including software capitalization.\n\nDrive projects, such as: working with FP&A on the set up POs to ensure correct cost centre and account mapping; opportunities for process improvements; setting up and documenting processes and controls around the accruals.\n\nDrive automation and process improvements across all manual account tasks using AI tools.\n\n What will you bring to Omnissa?\nAn active ACA or CPA designation and industry accounting experience preferred.\n\nRelevant experience with a background from a Big 4 accounting firm (consulting) or General ledger background within SaaS based multinational companies preferred.\n\nRelevant experience in financial analysis and an analytical mind-set.\n\nSpecific experience in calculating and managing accruals an advantage.\n\nStrong technical accounting knowledge.\n\nStrong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.\n\nAbility to work within a team to expedite completion of projects with other teams including FP&A and Information Systems.\n\nExperience with MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\n\nExperience with Oracle and other ERP is preferred.\n\nExperience with Claude or other similar AI tools, specifically around building agents.
