( A fastfrate Group Company) , is looking for an Importer Compliance Program Specialist to join our Admin Team in US Customs Brokerage division.\n\nCore Responsibilities\nNew Client Vetting and Account Onboarding\nOwn the end-to-end vetting and assist with onboarding of prospective U.S. brokerage clients, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and consistent before account activation.\nValidate client business information, Importer of Record identity, Right to Make Entry, and Power of Attorney signatory authority.\nInvestigate discrepancies and risk indicators, resolve documentation gaps, and ensure compliance with applicable CBP requirements and company procedures.\nMaintain complete and auditable onboarding records.\nPower of Attorney Governance and Annual Reviews\nMaintain an accurate Power of Attorney inventory and lead annual reviews to verify importer status, current company information, signatory authority, and document validity.\nRequest updated documentation, follow up on outstanding items, and escalate unresponsive clients.\nIdentify deficiencies, implement appropriate account controls, and document validation and resolution activities.\nContinuous Bond Program\nManage the day-to-day administration and improvement of the continuous bond program.\nMonitor bond status, sufficiency, usage, exposure, and renewal deadlines; initiate solicitations, renewals, increases, and replacements as needed.\nCoordinate with clients, sureties, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate records and tracking tools.\nIdentify risks and recommend process improvements to strengthen compliance and operational efficiency.\nCompliance Monitoring and Risk Management\nApply a compliance-first approach across onboarding, account maintenance, POA reviews, and bond activities.\nConduct periodic client file reviews, identify compliance gaps, initiate corrective actions, and escalate higher-risk matters.\nMonitor work queues and review schedules, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and support audits with complete, traceable documentation.\nClient and Internal Communication\nCommunicate compliance requirements, documentation needs, risks, and deadlines clearly and professionally.\nProvide proactive updates and follow through until matters are resolved and documented.\nCollaborate with Client Success, Brokerage Operations, Regulatory Compliance, Finance, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely resolution of issues.\n\nWhat you bring : \nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in U.S. customs brokerage, trade compliance, client onboarding, or a related field.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. customs requirements, Importer of Record validation, Powers of Attorney, and continuous customs bonds.\nProven ability to assess risk, resolve discrepancies, manage compliance deadlines, and work independently.\nExcellent analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.\nProficiency in Microsoft 365 and related business systems;
