Ready to learn, grow and achieve daily success?\nApply today!\n\nSummary of position \nCoordinate activities related to ground logistics traffic, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of service from shipper to destination.\nNegotiate standard orders for LTL and FTL clients or adhere to contract rates as needed. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders (other divisions, customers, carriers)\nNegotiate standard orders for LCL and FCL clients or adhere to contract rates as needed.\nCoordinate the final mile ocean and air shipments in North America. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of service from ocean/rail/CFS/airport to destination.\n Coordinate warehousing services and projects based on client’s needs (destuffing, palletizing, etc.)\nBuild relationships with internal and external stakeholders (other divisions, customers, carriers)\n\nResponsibilities:\nApply your top-rated customer service skills to achieve customer satisfaction!\nReceive orders; contact shippers, consignees and clients to confirm shipment details; confirm timing, schedule pickups and/or delivery appointments.\nEnsure empty return of containers in allotted time.\nContact carriers to obtain availability; negotiate rates and book freight using various resources such as internal lists, Load Link and DAT.\nParticipate/assist in the quoting process and follow up with clients on quotes.\nObtain documentation to export and import brokerage teams to ensure documentation is received and processed in a timely manner.\nConsolidate shipments, when possible, to maximize revenues and ensure service.\nTrace progress of shipments , and update clients and system accordingly.\nOnce delivered, verify all bills and charges to process client invoices.\nObtain POD; you may have to contact suppliers to verify the accuracy of charges.\nEnter/update information in the computer system to keep all load boards current and relevant\nEscalate any complaints, service failures, claims, potential risks to Omnitrans or clients to the supervisor in a timely manner.\nEnsure profit margins are maintained within Departments expectations.\nEnsure AP discrepancies are maintained within set boundaries.\nAvailability on West Coast hours may be required as needed.\n\nWhat you bring:\nCompletion of CEGEP or equivalent\n3-5 years of Ground Logistics experience\nStrong and experienced understanding of Airport pickups, Ocean/Rail drayage, terminologies, warehousing and pick & pack, will be a strong asset for applicants!\nA deep and strong knowledge of the transport carrier marketplace, carrier names, common lanes, pricing etc.\nAbility to multi-task, in detail, with high volume shipment count \nExperience and knowledge in North American geography (CA/US/Mex).\nExperience in a load brokerage environment is required\nExperience with specialized services such as trade shows, refrigerated is an asset\nStrong client service and problem-solving skills;
