We strongly believe each end every IT employee makes a difference in that respect.\nYour tasks\nDesigns, builds, manages & optimizes scalable data pipelines supporting enterprise data and analytics initiatives within OMV Group.\nImplements deployment procedures and maintains reliable service for key data and analytics consumers.\nApplies data governance, data security and access management requirements for data pipelines and data engineering activities in alignment with OMV Petrom and OMV Group standards.\nConducts data analysis and contributes to the implementation of complex analytical algorithms following agreed designs.\nDevelops analytical contexts and data structures required to support business objectives and analytics use cases.\nBuilds and maintains cloud-based data platform layers (raw, processing and serving) including appropriate data transformations.\nMonitors and troubleshoots system performance and maintains the quality, integrity and accuracy of analytical data environments.\nDesigns and implements technical solutions where data consistency or data quality risks occur (e.g., AI implementations, Power Apps integrations or analytics solutions).\nAdopts & improves data engineering methods and algorithms that enhance data processing efficiency and enable discovery of new insights.\nContributes expertise and represents the team in group-level data and analytics forums.\nYour skills\nEducation: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business\nRelevant professional experience: >7 years\nAdvanced experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud services in general. \nSpecific Microsoft Azure certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Data Scientist Associate\nAdvanced experience with data pipeline, workflow management and stream-processing systems tools.\nTechnical expertise with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.\nAdvanced programming skills such as Hadoop MapReduce or other big data frameworks, Java and statistical modelling like SAS tableau or R\nAdvanced expertise in working with tools like: Power BI, Spotfire or Tableau\nAdvanced expertise working with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra \nExcellent knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Visio)\nAbility to work with IT teams to support data collection process, integration, and retention requirements based on the input collected with the business\nFluent in English language, capable of writing well in English and holding discussions and meetings with non-Romanian parties.\nLocation\nBucharest\nWhat OMV Petrom can offer\nLong weekend plans are always welcome - on Friday, our office hours end at 14.00.\nYou can rely on a health insurance that covers medical treatment in a variety of private medical clinics.\nYou can work from home, if the work activity allows.\nThe number of your days off increase according to your work experience so that you'll enjoy more free time.\nWe aim to make your vacation days happier, by paying each vacation day double.\nAre you a top performer?
