With multiple gigawatts currently under construction, we are enabling grid-safe data centers. \nProject Safety Manager- Site based position (starting in Snyder, TX and eventually to a project site in Abilene, TX) \nPer diem and rotation trips home (every 4 weeks) are covered.\nJob Description: \nThis position applies developed subject matter expertise to solve unique and moderately complex health and safety, and environmental implementation issues within established site-specific Health and Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Plans and recommends appropriate solutions or alternative methods ensuring compliance. Acts as a Project Management Team member, providing HSE oversight on all deliveryactivities, along with facilitating team HSE decision making. Does not require day-to-day supervision and has the ability toresolve most issues but may seek advice in order tomake more complex decisions. Must be able to travel and work remotely as required for project support. The Project SafetyManager willSupport IPP and Data Center project delivery teamsand report to the Director of Global Safety. \nResponsibilities: \nActs as a technical advisor to projectteam and contractors. \nIndependently determines approaches and develops solutions to resolve HSE issues. \nPerformscontinual monitoring of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure required health and safety, and environmental plans for the project and all applicable regulations, codes and standards are followed. \nStops work when unsafe and determines appropriate corrective and preventative action to be taken and completed prior to restarting. \nPerforms weekly safety inspectionsof the ongoing projectwork and provides direct feedback to the working group. \nEstablished a weekly safety inspection/assessment schedule with each contractor/vendorworking at site and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented. \nDevelops and conducts project H&S and environmental orientation sessions for all personsworking or entering the project site and maintains training records. \nPlans, conducts, or coordinates necessary training programs to promote knowledge of and conformity with health and safety, and environmental issues per phase of project. \nEnsures industrial hygiene and environmental monitoring isperformed as necessary and instrumentation equipment is maintained. \nLeads, coordinates, and participates in simple and complexinvestigations of near misses, injuries, unsafe conditions, and incidents that do or could involve actual or potential liability; maintain records of pertinent data and compile required analysis reports on such investigations. \nAttendstailboard meetings, pre jobbriefings and JSA review meetings. \nLeads and develops content for project weekly safety meeting with project management teamand contractor/vendormanagement participation. \nAssists and/or maintains the On Energyonline project HSE data base: (safety observations, incidentreporting, training, etc.). \nAssist and/or develop project related H&S and environmental programs as may be required for project compliance with local, state, or federal regulations. \nAssist and/or develop training curriculum and conduct required training sessions to educate employees on the safe and compliant work practices associated with project activities. \nAdministration and Communications Requirements: \nPlans and manages work activities for themselves to accomplish project goals and objectives. \nEnsures H&S and environmental plans are comprehensive and effective in meeting established goals and objectives. \nHandles multiple priorities requiring frequent interpretation of programs and procedures. \nInterprets, explains, advises, and makes recommendations on moderately complex issues to project management team. \nStrong team and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, coach, and guide others. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills for effectively communicating with internal and external customers. \nAbility to build strong relationships both internally and externally is a key priority. \nMust be proficient in Microsoft word, excel and power point programs. \nAnalytical and Technical Requirements: \nRequires original and innovative thinking in developing results or recommending process improvement. \nAbility to analyze technical and regulatory information, make sound judgments, and provide prudent recommendations. \nRegularly make decisions that are covered by general methods and procedures requiring frequent interpretations of programs and processes. \nConducts predictive trend analysis to determine corrective and preventative actions on negative indicators. \nThorough knowledge in the field of health and safety, as well as general environmental regulations for the construction/renewablesindustry. \nDevelop, implement, and evaluate programs and procedures in areas i.e. high-risk activities: working at height, lifting & rigging, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, fire, deep excavation, confined space and hazardous materials, and other areas i.e. ergonomics, emergency preparedness, industrial hygiene and general safe work practices. \nQualifications: \nTen plus yearswork experience in EPC projects and/or heavy construction industry, with safety related certification, e.g., Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or equivalent. \nLow voltage/medium voltage electrical safety experience. \nTrack record of sustained implementation and overall management of construction safety programs, that achieved a demonstrated record of performance achievement in past positions. \nStrong leadership skills \nRequired travel: this is a project-based position. \nFor US-based roles - What you’ll get:\nCompetitive salary + annual performance-based bonus eligibility\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid time off and company holidays \nFor Mexico-based roles - What you’ll get:\nCompetitive salary + annual performance bonus eligibility\nChristmas Bonus (Aguinaldo): 30 days\nMajor medical expenses and life insurance\nPaid time off and holidays (per local policy)\nFor all roles:\nProfessional development and growth opportunities\nOpportunity to grow with a mission-driven team shaping the future of clean energy\nEqual Opportunity: ON.energy is committed to equal employment opportunity and to maintaining a work environment free of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation.\nBenefits vary by role and location and are subject to change.\nAgency Notice: ON.energy does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing agencies, search firms, or third-party recruiters.
