The selected candidate will be assigned to a specific operating company based on business needs. They will contribute to a variety of projects that drive value creation within the operating company and across ONCAP.\nThe hire will report directly to the Head of AI, Analytics and Data at ONCAP, as well as to operating leaders at the assigned operating company. This position is for a current vacancy.\nWhat You Will Do:\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in accelerating data-driven evolution within the portfolio company by using advanced analytics to drive business value, and work with alternative datasets to curate novel insights. Key projects will include:\nCustomer Data & Insights\nSegment customer data to drive targeted marketing and personalization strategies.\nDevelop and maintain weekly, periodic, and quarterly reports using Power BI or similar tools.\nCollaborate with business teams to leverage data in alignment with growth priorities.\nExplore AI-driven personalization opportunities to optimize customer engagement.\nOperations Analytics & Optimization\nConduct in-depth operational analyses to identify performance drivers, uncover improvement opportunities, and address key business challenges.\nDevelop insights to optimize revenue and working capital performance.\nBusiness Strategy & Growth Analytics\nAnalyze data to determine cost-effective strategies for delivering products or services.\nProvide insights into customer behavior to enhance sustainable growth.\nTechnology & IT Efficiency Assessment\nAssess current data and technology platforms to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness.\nTargeting\nLeverage AI and data-driven targeting techniques to identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-potential acquisition targets aligned with the fund’s investment thesis.\nWhat You Will Bring:\nProfessional Characteristics:\n1-3 years relevant experience in data science and analytics.\nExpert proficiency in BI tools, programming and querying languages including Power BI (or Tableau), Python, SQL, strongly typed and/or functional languages a plus.\nA strong intuition for analytical methodologies and desire to solve novel technical challenges.\nExceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all analyses and deliverables. \nFamiliarity with data analysis and fundamental ML modeling techniques.\nAbility to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively both orally and in writing.\nBe passionate about the application of data science to drive business impact, and intellectually curious about solving real-world questions from data.\nStrong proficiency in English, ensuring clarity in both technical and business communication.\nPersonal Characteristics:\nJudgment and Flexibility: Thinks about issues and develops solutions that thoughtfully take the broader context into account.
