The Education Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day delivery of educational programming, coordinate school and community engagement activities, supervise instructional personnel, and support engaging STEM and history-based learning experiences.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate and implement approved K-12 and adult educational programs.\nSupport continuous improvement of educational programming and curriculum delivery.\nSupervise and mentor education support personnel and volunteers.\nCoordinate school field trips, group visits, schedules, and participant flow.\nManage educational materials, supplies, setup, safety, and inventory.\nCoordinate with volunteer personnel to train docents and volunteers supporting educational programs.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with schools, homeschool networks, community organizations, and other educational partners.\nSupport hands-on educational programming aligned with established curriculum frameworks.\nTrack education schedules, supplies, and program requirements.\nSupport community and off-site educational initiatives.\nMaintain a professional and engaging learning environment for diverse audiences.\nProvide quality control and guidance to personnel delivering educational sessions.\nQualifications & Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Education, Museum Studies, Public History, or a STEM discipline.\nFour (4) to six (6) years of progressive experience in museum education, curriculum development, or education program administration.\nDemonstrated experience working with school administrators, community organizations, or similar educational partners.\nExperience coordinating field trips, educational programs, or community learning initiatives.\nKnowledge of curriculum frameworks, such as Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and experience translating curriculum into engaging hands-on learning activities.\nExperience supervising or mentoring instructional staff.\nExperience coordinating schedules, educational supplies, and program logistics.\nExperience supporting community outreach or educational initiatives.\nStrong communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.\nSchedule flexibility to support weekends, school breaks, and special evening events.\nMust be able to successfully complete required Federal background and suitability screening.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in a related field.\nKnowledge of maritime history or related subject matter.\nExperience with STEM education.\nFamiliarity with educational technology, science labs, interactive learning environments, or maker spaces.\nThis position is tied to a future business opportunity.\nAbout One Federal Solution\nOne Federal Solution (OFS) is an innovative Professional Services provider with over 20 years of experience supporting Defense and Civilian agencies.
