The IT Specialist will provide hands-on technical support for IT infrastructure, digital systems, public-facing technology, network connectivity, AV systems, and interactive technologies within a high-availability environment.\nOFS is seeking two qualified individuals for this position.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor and maintain internal and public-facing networks to support reliable connectivity.\nPerform approved system backup, restoration, patching, and data-protection activities.\nSupport authorized user account requests, permissions, onboarding, and offboarding processes.\nProvide technical support for gallery, theater, presentation, streaming, lighting-control, and event technologies.\nMaintain digital displays, interactive components, media servers, kiosks, sensors, and related systems.\nTroubleshoot hardware, software, AV, and network-related issues.\nSupport visitor Wi-Fi while maintaining appropriate separation between public and internal systems.\nMaintain gallery and theater IT systems, media servers, and related technology.\nPerform routine software updates, patch management, and system maintenance.\nEnsure system maintenance and updates do not disrupt required accessibility features.\nInvestigate and resolve reported IT/AV system failures, hardware malfunctions, and software defects.\nSupport technical requirements for special events and public programs.\nWork collaboratively with technical and nontechnical personnel to resolve system issues.\nQualifications & Requirements\nThree (3) to six (6) years of systems administration or technical support experience.\nProficiency supporting both Windows and macOS environments.\nHands-on experience with VLANs, VPNs, and robust Wi-Fi mesh networks.\nKnowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat mitigation, firewalls, and data encryption.\nExperience supporting cloud storage and SaaS platforms.\nExperience troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware and related technical equipment.\nStrong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills.\nMust be able to successfully complete required Federal background and suitability screening.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting a museum, library, gallery, public attraction, or other high-uptime environment.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; professional experience and certifications may be considered for substitution.\nCompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar industry certification.\nAWS, Azure, or Google Workspace Administration certification.\nDigital Asset Management (DAM) or collection database experience.\nAV integration experience, including multi-screen displays or interactive technologies.\nDisaster recovery experience.\nExperience training and supporting nontechnical users.\nAbout One Federal Solution\nOne Federal Solution (OFS) is an innovative Professional Services provider with over 20 years of experience supporting Defense and Civilian agencies.
