As a 2D Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing drawings and technical documentation in the field of wiring system development.\nDesign, create, and modify 2D wiring harness drawings in accordance with Mercedes-Benz engineering standards and technical specifications.\n\nDevelop electrical circuit diagrams to support the definition and implementation of vehicle wiring systems.\n\nConvert routing strategies, packaging concepts, and installation requirements into accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation.\n\nManage and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and design documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and traceability.\n\nCoordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including: 3D design, electrical architecture, packaging engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers, to ensure efficient project execution and design alignment.\n\nEnsure compliance with all relevant standards, specifications, quality requirements, and internal engineering procedures.\n\nSupport change management and release activities by evaluating, documenting, and implementing engineering modifications.\n\nDrive continuous improvement of wiring harness layouts by optimizing cost, weight, packaging efficiency, and manufacturability.\n\nRequirements\nCompleted technical education or degree, e.g.: Automotive engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Technical draftsman / product designer\n\nExperience in wiring harness development / electrical distribution system development within the Mercedes-Benz environment required\n\nStrong knowledge of 2D CAD systems, ideally including: Capital Harness (LDorado), Engineering Base (EB Cable), E3.series or comparable tools\n\nExperience with Mercedes-Benz development processes (e.g., Dialog system Jira) is a plus\n\nGood understanding of automotive electrical systems\n\nStructured, independent, and team-oriented working style\n\nGood command of German and English\n\nOur offer:\nExciting projects in the premium automotive environment (Mercedes-Benz)\n\nParticipation in innovative technologies in the field of E/E architecture\n\nA permanent, full-time position\n\nA mixed team of fresh talent and long-standing employees\n\nExtensive training and development opportunities\n\nA structured induction program\n\nAn attractive remuneration package\n\nAre you interested?\nWe are looking forward to receive your application.
