Office buildings, hospitals and research centers, educational institutions, residential buildings, hotels, shopping centers, factories, sports and cultural centers, our team excels at building these places using state-of-the-art tools and places people at the heart of its concerns by advocating an innovative collaborative approach.\nCome build the future with us!\nEBC is actively seeking an Assistant Project Manager for ourOntario Building Division where they can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization.\nReporting to the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed safely, on schedule and in compliance with the contract and job cost estimates.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist the PM in the overall planning and scheduling of project including monitoring and reporting.\nAssist the PM in all functions and operations of project including compliance with local legislative and labour requirements.\nEnsures that Company policies and procedures are followed in all aspects of project execution.\nManage and coordinate project within budgets.\nAssist the PM in preparing the project cost status reports in terms of percent complete, cost to date and cost forecast.\nIdentify project concerns and alert management of potential risks on assigned projects. Develop a plan to minimize detrimental impacts and mitigate risks.\nMonitor the overall progress of the project on an ongoing basis and takes corrective action where necessary.\nAssist the PM in preparing budgets, forecasts and reduce risk through managing scope and contract change.\nEnsure that all scope and contract changes are submitted and approved by the client. \nResponsible for implementing and monitoring of the Company’s Safety Policy and Program.\nResponsible for implementing and monitoring of the Company’s Quality Assurance Program and related requirements.\nManpower acquisition, Equipment Management and Material procurement.\nAssist the PM in the management of all aspects of subcontractor work execution and contracts.\nPreparation of progress billings.\nAssist in the collection of outstanding payments.\nCarry out site safety inspections.\nRequirements\nMinimum 3 - 5 years of industry experience.\nTechnical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng./ CET) or combination of technical training and/or related experience. \nRead, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings.\nScheduling experience and analysis skills.\nComputer proficiency.\nWritten/oral communications.\nPresentation skills.\nProblem solving and organizational skills.\nCost analysis, control, and reporting.\nContracts - Commercial knowledge.\nNegotiating skills.\nThis role requires eligibility for Secret Level Security Clearance. EBC will support the successful candidate through the required government security screening process to ensure they meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information and sensitive assets. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
