Your responsibilities include:\nLegal Research and Writing: Conducts thorough legal research and drafts pleadings, motions, , and other documents under the guidance of senior attorneys or partners.\nCase Preparation: Assists in preparing cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions, ensuring all documentation and evidence are organized and complete.\nClient Communication: Maintains communication with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns, ensuring a professional and responsive relationship.\nDiscovery Management: Handles document reviews, prepares discovery responses, and assists in interrogatory and deposition processes.\nCourt Representation: Appears in court for routine motions, hearings, or minor trials to represent clients, often with oversight from more senior attorneys.\nCompliance and Risk Assessment: Advises clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.\nTeam Collaboration: Works closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to execute strategies and meet client objectives.\nBillable Hours and Productivity: Meets assigned billable hour targets through efficient case management and prioritization of tasks.\nProfessional Development: Attends continuing legal education (CLE) programs and stays updated on changes in the law and emerging trends in their practice area.\nCommitment to Firm Goals: Demonstrates dedication to the firm's mission, values, and growth by contributing to team projects and firm initiatives.\nWhat You Bring\nTo excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:\nExperience: At least 3-10 years of experience as an attorney\nKnowledge: Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to general liability defense.\nSkills:\nExceptional organizational and time-management abilities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nEducation: JD from an accredited school\nAdmitted to practice in the State of Indiana.\nPersonal Qualities: Discretion in handling confidential information, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork.\nWhat We Offer\nAt QPWB, we believe in giving back to the team members who make our success possible.
