Supports warehouse functions and participates in forklift operations when necessary.\n\nEssential Functions of the Job:\nCarries a CDL license with a tanker endorsement\nComplies with Good manufacturing practices.\nForklift inspection prior to shift with accurate documentation\nMaintains communications within production team ensuring smooth shift transitions, etc.\nDrives truck to destinations.\nInspects truck for defects per MN DOT/Federal Motor Carrier regulations. Maintains reports indication truck condition.\nResponsible for cleaning and general maintenance of vehicle.\nAssists workers in loading and unloading truck.\nLoads and unloads product in warehouse.\nEnsures accurate inventory and loading applications of product.\n\nKey Accountabilities:\nSafety\nFollows all plant safety rules.\nReports all accidents to the Production Supervisor.\nServes an active role in the plant safety program by participating in monthly safety inspections and reporting any potential safety hazards to the safety committee, Production Supervisor or Warehouse & Distribution Manager.\n\nQuality:\nAdheres to all Quality Assurance System guidelines\nFollows SOP’s on truck inspection for loading and unloading\nResponsible for compliance with the HACCP program\nMust adhere to and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)\nResponsible for accurate documentation\n\nHousekeeping\nMaintain a clean and organized work area\nCooperates with other shifts and the management team in housekeeping endeavors\nPerform all warehouse Sanitation process with documentation\n\nCommunications\nInsures the effective shift communication and teamwork with the other operators occurs each scheduled shift\nMaintains effective communication with members of warehousing and palletizing\nMaintain communication with the Production Supervisor as well as Warehouse & Distribution Manager\n\nTeamwork and Training\nPromotes and contributes to the development of teamwork among team members\nAssist in coaching and training employees as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor.\n\nPersonal Development\nContinuous improvement of knowledge of the Aseptic filling process and all other areas in the plant\nContinuous improvement of knowledge of other company warehouses\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\n\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions under pressure. \n\nTravel Requirements:\nTravel Expectation between SunOpta plants and warehouses.\n\nWork Environment/Physical Demands:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
