We're looking for an Design Engineer who wants to be part of that team and help it grow.\nAs a key member of our engineering team, the Product Design Engineer will work cross-functionally with Product Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to bring innovative valvetrain and engine component solutions to market. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD), and a general knowledge of the performance racing and automotive aftermarket.\nWhat you'll do\nDesign - SolidWorks (Current Release)\nCreate and maintain 3D models and drawings library.\nMaintain accuracy and completeness of standard design procedures.\nExecute design of new products under direction of the Engineering Manager.\nCreate detailed engineering drawings and related specifications, including GD&T specifications with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.\nAbility to perform fitment and tolerance stack analyses.\nUnderstanding of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.\nUnderstanding of FEA and CFD. Usage though Solid works Premium is a plus.\nMetrology\nUnderstanding of CMM Output and 3D scanning technology.\nAbility to use handheld measuring gauges - Calipers, Mics, Bore Gauges, etc.\nFamiliarization with usage of CMM and 3D scanning technology is a plus.\nCommunication\nClearly and accurately communicates engineering information to manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams.\nAbility to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time.\nOrganization\nAbility to resolve issues quickly to ensure on time delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability and flexibility to provide solid, long term, resolutions for ongoing projects while operating in parallel on current design projects.\nWork assignments may be complex and non-routine in nature where established techniques or procedures do not yet exist. This position requires a dynamic outlook and the ability to adapt and overcome as new challenges arise.\nRequirements\nWhat you bring\nBachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.\nMinimum of 3 years design engineering experience.\nCAD Experience: Solid works required.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office software: Windows, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint\nExcellent communication, documentation, and attention to detail\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nSolid understanding of machine processes and cutting tools.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
