This role ensures accuratecalculation, payment, collection, and reconciliation of royalty obligations while providingfinancial insights that support licensing strategy, contract compliance, forecasting, and profitability analysis.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis skills with contract interpretation capabilities and possessesexperience working with complex royalty agreements, including master licensing and representative agreements with global licensing agencies, revenue-sharing arrangements, and collaborations.The candidate should also have experience using BrandComplyor similarlicensing enterprise software platform.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:\nCalculate and validateroyalty revenues and expenses in accordance withlicensing agreements.\n\nReview and interpret licensing contracts to ensure accurateapplication of royalty rates, guarantees, advances, deductions, and payment terms.\n\nPrepare and process royalty accruals, settlements, invoices, and payment schedules.\n\nInvestigate and resolve discrepancies related to reported sales, usagemetrics, royalty calculations, and payments.\n\nDevelop monthly, quarterly, and annual royalty reporting to analyze trends and contract performance and identifyrisks and opportunities.\n\nPrepare ad hoc analyses supporting strategic decision-making and business development initiatives.\n\nDevelop and maintainforecasts and annual planning models for licensing and royalty revenues and expenses, incorporating contract terms, royalty rates, sales projections, minimumguarantees, and other key deal assumptions to support financial planning and decision-making.\n\nEnsure compliance with contractual obligations and internal financial policies.\n\nSupport royalty audit activities and coordinate responses to external auditors, licensors, and licensees.\n\nPartner cross-functionally to interpret contracts, resolve financial issues, provide guidance on financial implications of proposed deals, and support management with performance metrics and recommendations to optimizelicensing revenues\n\nREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.\n\n3-4years of experience in financial analysis, royalty accounting, licensing finance, revenue accounting, or related disciplines.\n\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and data analysis.\n\nStrong understanding of financial statements, accrual accounting, and revenue recognition principles.\n\nExperience reviewing and interpreting contractual financial terms.\n\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication abilities.\n\nExperience in media, entertainment, publishing, consumer products, software, gaming, retail, fashion, sports, or intellectual property-based businessespreferred.\n\nKnowledge of royalty management systems and ERP platformsincluding Workday and Brand Comply is a plus.\n\nCPA, CFA, or progress toward certification is a plus.\n\nCOMPENSATION:\nPay Rate: $90,000 - $100,000 / Annually\nThe advertised pay scale reflects the good faith minimum and maximum salary range for this role.
