You will work in a greenfield environment where you can influence technical direction, establish strong engineering practices and help shape how data and AI are used across healthcare delivery.\n\n Make a Difference Through Data and AI\n\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our Innovation, Platforms and Partnerships team and help build a greenfield development platform using modern data technologies and AI.\nYou will design, build and operate secure, enterprise-grade data pipelines and trusted data assets that support clinical and operational teams. Working within a small, innovative team, you will also provide technical leadership across data architecture, modelling, quality, governance and the responsible use of AI.\n\nYou will:\ndesign and operate resilient data pipelines using modern engineering and CI/CD practices\n\ncontribute to modern data, API management and AI platforms\n\nestablish data architecture, modelling and quality standards\n\nuse AI and large language models to extract and evaluate information\n\nimplement appropriate privacy, security and data governance controls\n\nlead technical discussions and collaborate with delivery and technical teams.\n\nAbout you\n\nWe are looking for an experienced and collaborative data engineer with:\nexperience designing modern lakehouse architectures and resilient ETL/ELT pipelines\n\nstrong Python, SQL, NoSQL and data warehousing skills\n\ncloud platform experience, preferably Microsoft Azure and Fabric\n\nexperience with CI/CD, automated testing and production monitoring\n\nexperience extracting information from unstructured data and using large language models\n\na strong understanding of data privacy, security and governance\n\nthe ability to lead technical discussions and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.\n\nExperience with dbt, Spark, AI agents, LLMOps, clinical terminology, FHIR or healthcare and other regulated environments will be highly regarded.
