This is a unique opportunity to become a technical expert in CNC spring coiling technology, spring materials, tooling, and advanced manufacturing processes that support high-performance engine valve springs and valvetrain components.\nResponsibilities (what you will do):\nBecome a subject matter expert in CNC spring coiling equipment, spring manufacturing processes, wire materials, tooling systems, setup methodologies, and production technologies. \nLearn and master the programming, setup, and optimization of CNC spring coiling machines. \nDevelop expertise in pitch control, diameter control, end geometry, wire positioning, and spring stability. \nOptimize machine parameters including feed rates, spindle speeds, point positioning, arbor configurations, and pitch tool settings. \nDesign, develop, and refine coiling tooling including points, guides, arbors, pitch tools, quills, cutters, and fixtures. \nAnalyze wire characteristics including tensile strength, surface condition, cast, helix, lubrication, and dimensional consistency. \nEstablish process windows that ensure consistent spring geometry and production repeatability. \nLead process validation, capability studies, and production launches. \nTroubleshoot machine performance, tooling wear, process variation, and quality issues. \nImplement automated inspection, in-process monitoring, and data collection systems. \nConduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. \nManage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.\nTrain and work with operators to implement best Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. \n3-8 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a precision manufacturing environment. \nStrong hands-on problem-solving and process improvement skills. \nExperience in production environments and precision manufacturing. \nCAD software (SolidWorks preferred) experience\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office. \nStrong analytical, communication, and project management skills. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with CNC spring coiling, wire forming, or cold forming equipment. \nUnderstanding of servo-controlled machinery and CNC programming principles. \nKnowledge of spring design fundamentals and spring manufacturing processes. \nExperience with SPC, process capability studies, Lean Manufacturing, or Six
