This includes reviewing the project scope of work and directing the subcontractors in the installation of the M&E components\nKey Responsibilities:\nM&E General Conditions Requirements: Ability to plan organize and execute the project requirements for temporary Mechanical, Electrical services, including temporary power, water, sewer, gas, and heating;\nPlanning & Scheduling: Understand and assist in the development of project schedule and ability to establish priorities. Identifies critical components and ensures accurate resource to meet project goals. Able to adapt schedule to changing site conditions. Proactively monitors procurement schedule to ensure timely delivery within project requirements, revises and communicates schedule changes to stay on course;\nContract Management: Knowledge and understanding of M&E contracts in relation to the project requirements. Ability to apply contract administration methods to uphold contract terms and conditions;\nPlanning & Coordination: Organize and facilitate M&E Coordination and Interference Meetings: Pre-construction meetings with individual subcontractors (take minutes), organize and chair trade specific meetings;\nCommissioning: Responsible for organizing, planning, and scheduling the commissioning program to facilitate smooth and timely turnover of mechanical/electrical systems in accordance with project requirements, including project close-out requirements;\nProposal and estimation: Provide assistant in reviewing the Mechanical and Electrical scope during proposal and bids.\nRequirements\nREQUIREMENTS\nEducation: University Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering;\nExperience: Minimum 3 - 5 years experience with M&E Coordination, preferably in the Construction industry;\n3 to 5 years of relevant experience in construction;\nbilingual French-English both orally and in writing (an asset)\nproficient in MS Office and MS Project software;\nLEED accreditation is an asset;\nWorking knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, estimating, drawings and specifications, building material and required standards applicable to discipline.\nSKILLS AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED\nTeam player mentality;\nInitiative and independent worker;\nProblem solving;\nCommunication and negotiation (listening, verbal and written)\nAbility to prioritize work;\nPeople management;\nTime management;\nAttention to detail.\nBenefits\nCONDITIONS OFFERED BY EBC\nCompetitive salary;\nGood Work-Life balance;\n4 weeks vacation per year;\nComprehensive group insurance program (health and dental component paid by the employer);\nRRSP group program with an employer contribution to a DPSP;\nEmployee assistance program;\nContinuing education;\nActive social club;\nFriendly and stimulating work environment;\nCompany «recognized as one of the Best Managed Companies in Canada».\nIn accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $90,000-$140,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
