Responsible for safeguarding the property and equipment of Goodwill. Provides security services to Goodwill Employees and Service Participants. Responsible for people who enter and exit the contract services tunnel and maintains good rule of order on the premises. Patrols throughout main facilities on a periodic and daily basis. Performs other duties as assigned. \nExemplary Duties / Responsibilities:\nPatrolling and monitoring activities on the Company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment and property is safe and secure. \nEvicting trespassers and violators while following Goodwill Solac policy and procedure along with legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over if needed.\nProvides security services to Goodwill employees and service participants. \nMonitor employee and visitor traffic in & out of the facility by checking identification to insure legitimacy. \nPatrol’s the facility and parking lots for unusual activities. \nReport, document, and handles safety/security incidents/concerns to the Asset Protection Lead and the Compliance, Risk & Safety Manager.\nMust identify physical security concerns and able to act on the spot. \nEnsures the company CCTV systems are operational on a daily basis. \nUsing provided communication devices such as a company work phone, email, etc. in a clear and concise manner. \nRespond to Criminal activity occurring outside of business hours at any of our Goodwill locations following guidelines and policies of Goodwill Solac.\nRespond to emergency calls and alarm activation calls on a 24/7 basis. \nWork with minimum supervision.\nSchedule will be provided upon hire and is subject to change in a timely manner. \nPerform additional duties as assigned. \nMinimum Qualifications:Education/Experience:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent. \nOne year experience in security. \nAbility to work alone or as part of a team.\nAbility to work with all levels and management. \nAdvanced verbal and written communication skills\nMust have basic proficiency with technology\nAbility to solve problems as they arise.\nAbility to react appropriately in a stressful situation.\nKnowledge & Skills:\nExtensive knowledge of current laws relating to security issues as they affect employer/employees, service participants, customers, contractors and others who have contact with or do business with the organization. \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of management, employees, service participants, security agencies and the general public. \nBilingual preferred.\nLicense/Certifications:\nValid CA Driver’s License: clean DMV printout and be insurable to drive company vehicles.\nMust possess a valid guard card.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAble to work with a diversified population and people with barriers to employment\nAble to work efficiently, safely, and in a cost-effective manner.\nAble to follow instructions and operate with minimal supervision.\nCore Competencies:To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:\nEthics & Integrity - Follows all policies and procedures to the highest standards\nSafety, Compliance & Risk Mitigation - Develops and analyzes compliance and safety procedures through asset protection programs, initiatives, policies, and systems.\nTheft, Shrink & Loss Prevention - Investigates theft attempts that are either actively prevented through deterrence measures or identified and reported during or after the act.\nInvestigates internal theft cases in which an individual actively participated in identifying, reporting, or assisting with the investigation.\nSecurity, Access & Surveillance - The ongoing observation and review of security camera footage to detect suspicious activity, deter theft, and support real-time response to potential loss events which enhances situational awareness and strengthens overall asset protection efforts. Prevent theft by utilizing the six-step external stop method.\nCommunication & Customer Service - Ensures employees, visitors, etc. are authorized to enter, and provides clear directions or escorts to their intended destinations.
