Experience in food manufacturing packaging procurement is strongly preferred.\nLeads sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, cost savings initiatives, risk management (supply assurance) across assigned categories.\nExecute as the designated SunOpta category representative for enterprise and globally negotiated categories, supporting procurement strategy implementation, supplier engagement, contract compliance, and internal stakeholder alignment.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\nDevelop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories.\nLead strategic supplier negotiations and contract management to optimize value and ensure supply assurance.\nMonitor market trends, supply dynamics, and emerging risks to inform procurement strategies.\nManage supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, and corrective action plans.\nIdentify and execute on cost reduction, productivity, and value creation opportunities.\nAssess supply risks and implement mitigation and continuity plans.\nServe as the designated SunOpta representative for assigned enterprise and globally sourced categories.\nPartner with Operations, Finance, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to support business objectives.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\n\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field\n7+ years procurement experience, including 3+ years in assigned category\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCPM, CPSM or similar certification\nFood manufacturing experience\n\nCompetencies:\nNegotiation\nAnalytical and financial
