Building on our recognized expertise in tunnels and\nunderground works, infrastructure, bridges and civil structures,\ntransportation, and hydroelectric projects, we deliver complex projects in\nclose collaboration with our partners and clients.\nJoining EBC means\ncontributing to impactful, large-scale projects, thriving in a stimulating work\nenvironment, and actively shaping the future of Canada’s infrastructure.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe responsibilities\nof the Project Engineer are organized around three main areas:\nEstimating, Bidding, and\nTechnical Coordination\nCollaborate on project estimating and bidding;\nSupport the estimating team and determine thebest strategies to respond to qualifications/bids;\n\nEnsure the quality of submissions according toclient requirements and company quality standards;\n\nParticipate in the development of proposedconstruction methods and procedures;\n\nContribute to the development of preliminaryschedules;\n\nParticipate in meetings with clients, engineers,and stakeholders;\n\nAnalyze tender documents and identify technicalissues;\n\nPrepare and follow up on requests for information(RFIs) with the client.\n\nExecution\nPlan and ensure proper coordination of work withall stakeholders;\n\nParticipate in updating project schedules;\nDefine and optimize construction methods andprocedures;\n\nReview and track shop drawings and contractualdocuments;\n\nManage and follow up on technical questions andcontract changes;\n\nCommunicate with the client regardingclarifications and changes;\n\nParticipate in project meetings with clients andpartners;\n\nEnsure compliance with contractual requirements,including health and safety;\n\nObtain and monitor required permits andauthorizations.\n\nSupport\nEnsure compliance with company quality standards;\nIntegrate corporate requirements (HSE, quality,contractual compliance);\n\nContribute to best practices in estimating andexecution;\n\nSupport the continuous improvement of methods andprocesses;\n\nCollaboratewith internal teams;\n\nEnsure effective transfer of information betweenproject phases.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering orConstruction Management or equivalent;\n\n7 years of experience in construction, both inthe field and in bidding;\n\nExperience on large-scale projects such ashydroelectric, infrastructure, or other relevant expertise aligned with\nour project portfolio;\n\nExperiencein bid preparation;\n\nAbility to work on-site;\nBilingualism (French and English) is an asset;\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word,Excel, Access);\n\nStrong knowledge of project management software;\nAdvanced knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD isan asset.\n\nPROFILE SOUGHT:\n\nAutonomousand proactive;\n\nAbility to win mandates and ensure smoothtransition to project execution;\n\nExcellent planning, organizational,problem-solving, and interpersonal skills;\n\nDemonstrates a high level of initiative,discretion, and professionalism;\n\nCommunicates clearly and concisely with siteworkers, managers, and engineering teams;\n\nProactive approach to meeting deadlines, and workswell under pressure. \n\nBenefits\n4 weeks of annual vacation;\nFlexible group insurance program upon entry (health and dentalcomponents paid by the employer);\n\nGroup RRSP with employer contribution to a Deferred Profit SharingPlan (DPSP);\n\n24 hour access to a virtual doctor (telemedicine);\nTraining and development programs;\nEmployee assistance program;\nActive social club and health and wellness committee;\nDiverse, innovative and stimulating environment;\nA company built on values of respect, integrity and a job welldone;\n\nFirm recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.\nIn accordance with applicable pay transparency\nlegislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role,\nwhich is $60,000 - $105,000. Compensation within the range is\ndetermined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and\ninternal equity.
